INTRODUCTION
There was a girl named Annie. She was a middle-class town girl, who was beautiful with long brown hair and eyes that looked like the deep blue sea. She always hung out with her friends and was also a pet caretaker who looked after her neighbors' pets. Her parents had died in an accident, and she now lived with her brother Jack and sister Ciara. Her brother worked in a small factory. Annie was loved by everyone in her town, and her life was full of adventure and joy. She had four best friends: Nick, Elle, Amanda, and Mark. They always hung out around the town and sometimes went on trips to the city.
Elle was a smart girl who always loved to read books for knowledge. Nick was a lover boy who always hung out with the town girls. Amanda was a simple and responsible girl who always wanted to find the love of her life and get married. Mark was a fruit seller in the market to fulfill his expenses and was studying to fulfill his parents' dream of him becoming a doctor.
One day, Annie was sitting in her garden, thinking about where she should go with her friends for another trip. She couldn’t come up with an idea, so she invited her four friends over to her home to think. After an hour, they all showed up.
Annie: "Where have you been? I was waiting for you all to come for an hour."
Nick: "Nothing, just me hanging out with my girls. Oh, have you seen the new hottest girl in town?"
Annie: "Okay, whatever."
Mark: "So, why did you invite us?"
Annie: "Obviously, to make a plan for our new trip."
Amanda: "New trip? We thought it was in September, two months away."
Annie: "Yeah, but because of my brother's plan to go to the city for his new job. His factory caught on fire recently, and the employees have been advised not to come for a year, so he has to go to the city to look for a new job."
Nick: "Are you moving...?"
Elle: "Seriously?"
Amanda: "Are you leaving us forever?"
Mark: "Why?"
Annie: "Guys, hold on. Yeah, I’m moving but not forever. As soon as the factory recovers, we will come back, I guess after a year."
Elle: "A year? Are you serious?"
Amanda: "We’re gonna miss you!"
Annie: "Me too! I’m also gonna miss you all. Okay, let’s stop being emotional and make a plan for our trip because I want this trip to be special, memorable, and full of adventures. So, let’s decide where we should go."
Nick: "Let’s go to the beach. There are lots of beautiful girls, sea, food, and sand."
Elle: "Absolutely not! We’ve been there about ten times. We’re not going there again!"
Nick: "Why not the 11th time?"
Elle: "No!"
Amanda: "Let’s go to the Fallen City Village. It's very rich in history and known for its traditional and cultural values."
Elle: "Yeah, I guess you're right! It is a very interesting village because there was a city here that was destroyed by an earthquake or tsunami. The people who immigrated here after the war found the city underground. That’s why it's named 'The Fallen City Village.' It’s very ancient, about 2,500 years old."
Nick: "Noooo... So boring! If we go there, we’ll also be found after centuries. Please, guys, don’t be boring and ridiculous. Think of somewhere awesome and cool where we all can enjoy and not get bored."
Mark: "Okay, let’s go to my uncle's resort. It’s between the mountains and has such a scenic view. There’s a flowing river, beautiful birds, green hilly mountains, etc. Trust me, you’ll all like it very much."
Nick: "No, I have seen it. It is so ridiculous. It’s very cheap and old. It looks like a haunted house or a palace like the Lord's Lady Palace."
Annie: "Lord's Lady Palace? What’s that?"
Elle: "It’s an abandoned palace. The lord of the town lived there with his lady, but after two years, the lord died of a disease, leaving the palace to his lady. She was a great and brave woman like no other in the town. But one day, she was found dead in her palace, her body covered in blood. People in the town said she committed suicide, but some say she was murdered by her lover Alex because he was very greedy for her property and wealth. After that incident, no one ever went there. The palace was abandoned and became haunted and old."
Amanda: "Some people also say that there is a creepy and haunted ghost of the lord's lady."
Nick: "Ah! They’re all rumors. There’s no such thing as ghosts."
Mark: "There could be!"
Nick: "Oh, come on, guys. Don’t act like kids. We’re teenagers. Ghost stories are for kids to scare them to sleep, not for grown-ups. Okay, whatever. Are we deciding on a place for the trip or not?"
Annie: "I have decided!"
All of them: "Where?"
Annie: "Lord's Lady Palace!"
Amanda: "What!"
Elle: "Are you serious?"
Nick: "What the hell!"
Mark: "Why?"
Annie: "Oh, come on, guys. It will be fun."
Mark: "Fun? You think it’s fun to go to a haunted and creepy palace for our trip?"
Amanda: "And never come back."
Annie: "Stop being silly. I think there’s nothing haunted there. It could just be a rumor."
Amanda: "There’s also the possibility of us becoming ghosts."
Elle: "No, but people also say that those who go there never come back. Many tourists and people have gone there, but no one has seen them again. It’s like they’re gone forever."
Nick: "If you want to go to that stupid palace, Annie, go happily, but we’re not going with you."
(They all start to leave)
Annie: "Please, guys! Don’t be afraid."
Mark: "No, Annie! It’s dangerous to go there. Anything could happen."
Annie: "Please, for me! One last time!"
(They all stop and sigh)
Nick: "Okay, we’re going to that stupid and ridiculous place, but only for you, okay."
Annie: "Okay, then we’re leaving in the early morning. See you then!"
