snarky 24

Chapter 24 Julie's POV I was getting so tired of being scared. So, once when he came home, I told him. He knew I was right; there was a matter of time before they would find me here and do whatever they wanted with me. I just couldn't let that happen, especially with a little one growing inside of me. I couldn't tell him just yet, not until we get wherever he was taking us. Kevin is a very bad man. He did what he wanted and took what was not his. I didn't like him. When I found out Chuck was my mate, I went to his house that day, and we had a long talk. No one even knew who I was; to them, I was just an omega that no one wanted until I met Chuck. He swore to keep me safe, and that's what he has done. Now, we are on a plane to God-knows-where. I swear I will keep this baby safe, even if my life depended on it. When we said those words to break the pack bond, I felt a very sharp pain, and then it suddenly vanished. We had to do that; if we didn't, he would always be able to find us. Now it's the end of our story until next time. Tori's POV It was the next day, and I knew I needed to speak to my sister. Bear thought it was a bad idea, but I knew my sister. She would listen, then she would get pissed, and then she would be fine. There were even times that we would fist fight, but no one won because we kept laughing when we hit each other. Now it’s the next day, and we had to check up on everyone and the pack that was being built for us. I couldn’t wait; I was excited about this. We got up, showered, and then headed to the pack house where some of the others were. I think I would talk to Rachel once we checked up on everyone. We went to the pack house and were greeted by everyone already in the breakfast hall eating their breakfast. Wow, what a greeting from my family and the others. Bear’s pack stood up, bowing to him, and then they turned to me. I had to say something; I didn't want them to do that. “Guys, please don't. I don't know who told you to do that, but you don't have to. All I ask is to have respect; that's it.” I heard someone snicker; it sounded female. I wondered what her problem is, so I turned to see who it was. She had her head down to hide her face. Stepping closer, I wasn't going to let her think I was scared of her. I heard my brother Isaiah in my head. "Easy, Tori. She's just testing you. If she goes too far, then do something, but make sure she knows you won't deal with her BS." I nodded as I walked towards her. She raised her head when she realized I was in front of her. “Excuse me, but is there something I said to everyone?” She smirked, and oh, I wanted to scratch her eyes out right then and there. But my brother was right; I had to stand my ground and make sure she knows I won't take her BS. She finally spoke up when she realized I was waiting for her to say something, and she smirked. ‘Oh, I'm truly sorry, miss, but I was just giggling because you told us not to bow, but you also want us to respect you. How can we respect you if we do not bow? It doesn't make sense. I'm assuming you're not the Luna of our Alpha; the Luna will be walking through those doors any second now, and you're just here to see what we are doing. Am I correct? I mean, look at you. You're too young to be a Luna. You know nothing about being his mate, but I know everything about being a Luna. I was raised and taught every day just in case I was an Alpha's mate. Too bad Kevin wasn't my mate; we could have made a good team. Then why did you leave his pack if you thought you and he would make a good team? Let me assure you there is no other Luna besides the Mafia Queen who will be walking through those doors any second now. Are you sure you truly want to mess with me? I can be a little crazy when it comes to my family and mate. But hey, you do you. If you were truly raised and taught to be a Luna, then you would know a Luna never acts this way. She acts respectfully. But you, on the other hand, are right here in my brother's pack being disrespectful. So, do you have anything else to say?' she smirked. I wondered what her name was, but I really didn't care because I'm about to lose it on this woman. Oh dear, did I offend the rightful Luna of the pack that is being built? I came here for a new start. Maybe I will find my mate here, who knows? I think, and I'm just speaking my mind, that this place could use a woman's touch. Look at this place. I feel when Kevin finishes Mercury off, he will come after this place and destroy it. I mean, come on, how can anyone stand living in a place like this? That's right, I said it. Now what? As far as I am concerned, I have no Luna until we get into the new pack. Once that is built and we move into it, I plan on making Bear realize I could be a better Luna than you can ever be. Okay, that's it, I'm done,' she said it all right there. She's just here to try and take my mate away from me. My brother was in my head, telling me not to do it, to stand down, but I already lost it. Grabbing her by the head, I grabbed her hair with both hands, dragging her over the table she was standing behind. She was screaming to let her go, but do you think I would? Nope, I didn't. I swung her around like she was a rag doll. Half her hair came out, and I really didn't care. She talked about my father, with Kevin destroying him, and then she talked about taking my mate. There is always one person out of a hundred that thinks she is better than everyone else, and I have to show her a different side. This woman was screaming at the top of her lungs to let her hair go. Fine, is that what she wants, so be it. I swung her around, letting her go. Half her hair came out in my hands as she went flying across the floor, landing hard against one of the tables. Stomping toward her, my wolf growled at her. She was just as crazy as I am. The girl got up, challenging me to be Luna. My wolf laughed, then said, "Alright, let's play." The girl, now known as Rica, was backing away. When I came back out saying, "Why back away now? You're the one that challenged me," I ran toward her, grabbing what was left of her hair and dragging her outside so I wouldn't ruin my brother's pack house. I tossed her on the ground, asking her once, but then said, "Do you submit to me? I don't want to kill you, Rica. You can still be a member of our pack. It's not too late." "f**k you, b***h. Kevin will come and kill every single one of you. Just you wait. He's going to get you in that battle arena and kill every single one of you." That did it, sending my craziness out of nowhere. I ran, kicking her right in the mouth, knocking a few teeth out. Kicking her again, I broke her nose. I was going to kill this girl, but I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around me. At first, I didn't know who it was, but when I turned to claw out their eyes, I stopped as I saw it was Bryce. Oh, when did he get here? "Stop this right now. She is my mate," I said, wide-eyed as I looked down at the beaten female lying on the ground, bleeding from her nose and mouth. "I'm sorry, Bryce, but she caused this on herself," I said. He nodded, looking down at her and saying, "I, Bryce Black, reject you, Rica. You've been hiding far too long. I told you when I found you again I was going to reject you." I was stunned. Bryce already knew her. What the hell happened for this to occur? I knew we were about to find out.
