Bear POV
While Tori was in the shower, I put the dog in the laundry room. I gave him some leftover bacon and eggs, and he ate every bit of it. The poor guy was hungry. I didn't know what to call him. I wish I knew his name.
“Why don't you call him Asher after me? I won’t mind. Maybe we can take him out in the woods, and we can run together. I wonder how fast he is.”
"Alright, I'll name him Asher, but I'm not taking him out in the woods. Rogues could get him. Ash, he’s an animal. We need to remember that."
“Alright big guy, your new name is Asher. I will see you in the morning, okay, big boy. Maybe I can give you to someone who can take really good care of you. You seem like a nice boy.” I shut the door after he laid down on a blanket I gave him, then went upstairs to the room. I made sure I pulled out the bed so she wouldn’t think I was trying to... I waited for her to come out. When she did, I told her I needed a shower. She told me to go ahead. While I was in there, I couldn't help but fix myself. She looked sexy as heck when she walked out of the bathroom. When I was done, I took a long, nice hot shower, then dried off. I needed more clothes so tomorrow I will head to the human town to buy more clothes. I just keep borrowing them from her brother. When I walked out of the bathroom, the foldout couch was folded back up into a couch.
"Do you want me to go downstairs to sleep there?"
“No, what I want you to do is get in bed with me. We are mates, Bear. Don't you think we need to sleep in the same bed? s**t, I don't think I can handle sleeping beside her without touching her. But if she wants me to get in bed with her, she doesn't have to tell me twice.” I pulled off my shirt but left my boxers on. Getting into bed, I said, "Forget it," and pulled her close. She turned to face me, looking into my eyes.
“I know you need more clothes, so let’s go shopping tomorrow so we can get you more things to wear.” She must have read my mind, but I was okay with that. Our first outing was shopping for some clothes. She reached up to kiss me. Kissing her back, I told her to be careful, not to start something she couldn't finish.
"Who says I want to stop? I want us to keep going. s**t, she didn't have to say that twice either. I've been wanting her since the first day I saw her training. I don't think she has any idea how long I've been watching her. No, I'm not a creep; I'm just a man in love with his mate, that's all. Pulling off my boxers, I took off her bottoms, then her top. We finally showered, dried off, and then dressed.
We went out to shop for some clothes. I needed clothes, my kind of stuff. I knew I needed dark clothes, but that's only just in case we went on collections. But the other things I really needed—I didn't know we were being watched. I didn't know by who, but they were watching closely. I don't know why we were being watched, but the person wanted to harm us."
