Chapter 45

Rachel's POV

I was so nervous when I saw the bedroom door opening. He was looking around the room with awe and liked how the candles looked. When he saw me with just the sheet on, he asked for a second to take a quick shower and hurried into the bathroom. I decided to take the sheet off and sit on the edge of the bed. I really didn't know what to do as I had only done this once, so I tried to look sexy by leaning back and crossing my legs.

He came out of the bathroom with clean boxers on, all cleaned up, and smelling really good. Walking over to me, he kneeled down and started kissing my legs. Then, he told me about the Luna ceremony, and I agreed to it. After our talk, we went at it several times. He made sure I was satisfied first. I didn't think he would climax, but eventually, he did. Then, we started up again. The way he moved his body made my whole body shiver. My breasts bounced as he thrusted inside me, sucking and nibbling at them several times. I didn't want to stop, but we needed our rest for the ceremony the next morning.

When I was done, I dried off and put on a robe. Opening the bathroom door, I saw the three women waiting for me—Rain, Lee, and Sunny. They were all nice and eager to start helping me.

"Luna, please sit at your vanity. I'll start on your hair while Rain does your makeup. Sunny will have your Luna dress ready when you’re done," they told me. I couldn't wait to see the Luna dress they mentioned. Sitting down at the vanity, they started working on me right away.

"Luna, the Alpha's mark on your neck looks beautiful. It's a perfect fit for the perfect Luna. But please, don't hurt him. He's been through a lot from his last mate. She was mean and dishonest, causing him pain. Think about it, we've all experienced heartbreak," Lee shared, and I reflected on our shared experiences.

Honey, you have nothing to worry about. I've been through heartbreak as well. When they started doing my makeup and hair, I told them about my chosen mate and what had happened. It was a mistake we both made by agreeing to be chosen mates when feelings would grow, and someone would end up getting hurt, and that someone was me. But I'm okay now, and I hope Cole is as well.

Luna, we had not seen Alpha Cole as happy as he is now. I'm glad you came here; we all are. Let us finish your makeup and hair; the ceremony will be starting soon. I sat there for hours, letting them do my makeup and hair. I hope they didn't put too much on my face. I didn't want to look all cakey with it. When they were finally done, Lee said, "You can't look in the mirror yet. You need to put on your dress and heels, then your jewelry, and then you can look in the mirror." Sunny walked over with the bag in her hand. She unzipped it, pulling out a beautiful white strapless gown. I didn't remember buying that, but hey, I could've and didn't realize it. She helped me put it on, zipping up the back. I sat down to put on the heels, and they helped me with the jewelry. Then they placed something on my head. What in the world was that? Rain walked over to get the full-length mirror and then walked back to me. She placed it flat on the wall so I could see what I looked like. The dress was all white with little white diamonds sparkling around it, showing off my shoulders. The necklace had a dark blue ruby hanging from it. The bracelet matched, and the earrings were just hoops. The ring they put on my finger was a dark blue ruby as well. They were very beautiful, and the heels matched the dress. When I finally looked in the mirror, I gasped; it didn't even look like me. I loved how I looked. I saw the small crown with flowers around it that they put on my head. It looked so pretty in my hair.

"Thank you so much for helping me; you three are amazing. Thank you so much. Wait right here; it won't take us long to get ready." They hurried out to their rooms to get ready. An hour later, they were back inside the room. Sunny was wearing a skirt with a matching shirt and heels, with her hair in a messy bun. Rain had on a sundress, with a ponytail and sandals, and Lee was wearing ripped jeans with a dark top and boots.

"Are you ready, Luna?" Lee asked. I nodded yes. "Good, because the Alpha has been mind-linking me asking if you're ready. It's time for the ceremony." We walked out, and I was careful walking down the steps so I wouldn't fall. We went outside to a large building; I hadn't seen this before. I hadn't seen a lot; I've just been training, hanging in the family room, and helping clean around the house. When we walked inside, I saw Cole standing on stage in a dark blue suit. Beside him was an older woman; I guess she was one of the elders. I looked around and saw all kinds of flower arrangements, streamers, a very large long table full of food, and a huge cake. It looked really nice, and I loved it. They walked me to the stage. I stood in front of Cole.

Hello, beautiful. Are you ready?

"Of course I am," the elder smiled at us as she began the ceremony.

"Rachel, I know this is on short notice, so I'm going to make this easy, okay?"

"Rachel, do you promise to do all the Luna duties, help the pack when needed, fight beside the Alpha when necessary, put him in his place when needed, be loyal, honest, and faithful, and never betray the pack and Alpha."

"I promise I will never lie, be disloyal or unfaithful, or ever betray the Alpha or the pack. This I give you my word." She turned to Cole.

"Alpha, the same for you. Do you promise to do your Alpha duties, help the pack when needed, fight beside the Luna when needed, put her in her place when she needs it, be loyal, honest, and faithful, and never betray the pack and Luna."

"Of course, I agree to it all," the elder chuckled and then smiled at us. "Please give me your right hand, Luna and Alpha." When we did, she sliced the palm of our hands, then placed them together, putting a rope around our hands. She waited for a few minutes, then she removed the rope and raised our hands.

"IF YOU PLEASE, WELCOME YOUR NEW LUNA TO THE PACK, MR. AND MRS. RACHEL BLACK AND COLE VAPER. Welcome to the Blue River pack, Luna!" Everyone cheered and whistled. When it was done, the elder looked at me, then said,

"Welcome to the pack, honey. I must go. Treat him well, and he will do the same for you." Then she left. Everyone was having a good time, eating and dancing, some even drinking. I didn't care. I was with my mate, and we were officially a mated and marked couple.
