Chapter 56

Kevin's POV

I was trying to enjoy some peace and quiet from all the hammering and drilling. The arena was almost done; all I wanted was to sit back, drink a drink, and smoke a little. It relaxes me. My phone started ringing off its hinges. I wasn't going to answer it, but on the fifth ring, I couldn’t handle it ringing anymore. So I answered it,

"Yeah, who’s this? I don't know this number, so whoever it is, it better be good."

"Hi, um, my name is Nila and I need your help," she told me what she needed help with. I started laughing. I don't know why I did, but she made me laugh. The Blacks do not need to bewitch anyone; if they have a mate, then that mate is theirs. I was laughing so hard I didn't even realize she had hung up on me. It was funny. After my fit of laughter, I realized she had hung up. So I called her back. She told me she had hired someone and then hung up on me again. Oh, h*ll no, twice she hung up on me. Calling her back, it wouldn't go through; she had blocked me. Again I started laughing. This is the first time I had laughed in a long time. I had to meet this girl, this Nila that she claims. Grabbing my other phone, I dialed her number on it, then hit call. She let it ring six times before she answered the phone.

"Don't hang up. You are the first that had made me laugh in a long time. I need to see you. If you need help, I will help you, but we have to meet first. Either way, I will figure out where you are and give you a surprise visit." I heard her sigh, then she said,

"I don't need the trouble. Let me know when and where to meet you, and I will be there. But no funny business." I wanted to laugh again. Does she even know who I am? I am that evil. I will make her life a living h*ll if I wanted to.

"Meet me in the middle of the woods. It will take you thirty minutes to get to it. I will make sure you are safe coming and going. I want to see you tonight. If you're not there, I will come looking for you. Fine, fine, threats do not scare me, but I will be there. See you then." The phone got hung up. I waited for a few seconds, tried calling her back; she had blocked me again. I laughed as I went outside, shifted into my large brown wolf, then off I went. She better be there when I get there. It took almost forty-five minutes to get here. My wolf kept wanting to hunt and pee everywhere. When I got him to focus again, we finally made it there. I saw her standing by a tree, fully dressed, waiting for me with her arms crossed, looking at her watch. My wolf chuckled; he liked her. I shifted, then grabbed a pair of shorts and a shirt to put on from a tree, than walked over to her.

"So, you told me not to be late, but here you are, late and I'm about ready to head home and forget about all of this." My wolf was sniffing her. Then he said, "She's wearing the cloaking spray so we won't be able to follow her."

"I don't care. She's cute, so don't worry about it. I'll help her for free; she will just have to owe me later."

"Alright, so you say that one of the blacks bewitched your mate. Which one is it?"

"Rachel, Mercury's daughter from another woman. She bewitched my mate into thinking that he is hers. I had him first."

"Fine, fine. Well, first off, I know you're going to hate it. But it's going to be done. You can owe me later. I'm going to have a beautiful woman join the pack. She's going to get close to this girl that bewitched your witch mate. That's all I'm going to tell you. The less you know, the better. You are not allowed to speak with her or know who she is. You will only know when the girl is dead and gone. After that is done, I will call you and let you know what you owe me. Until then, we never met, we never talked. And by the way, unblock me." I shifted into my wolf, then took off to head back home, leaving her there to wonder what was going to happen. It's going to end badly, but hey, I can do it for some fun. She's going to regret ever calling me.
