After Eagle had excused himself and went over to the domain where he would carefully copy the manuscript that was approved by me, Heather and I picked the twins and went over to the Clothing Store where there's quite a line of people lining up there.
From afar it seemed that the sewers inside the Clothing Store were busy taking some measurements and had some had already begun to work on making a few of the new adventurer's garb that was initially put on display.
When we got there, the line of people greeted us and bowed slightly as they made way for us to enter. It seemed that our speculation was true since all those who lined up at the Clothing Store was curious about how the new adventurer clothing and emblem would look like.
Some of them were also observing the construction of the new Adventurers Guild that was being managed by the engineers. Besides the numerous builders that we have on hand right now, their work was not disrupted as the housing development projects were still ongoing.
Not surprising though that the line of people comprises of some of the newlyweds too. It seemed that they were part of the non-working class and decided to take part in being an adventurer instead.
They knew that the world out there was harsh and they need to be had at least some survival skills to begin with but they knew the rewards were quite good and they could gain as much reputation as possible. Besides, they are helping the economy of this town to flourish even further.
We went in and greeted Innes that were busy sorting out the general sizes for the new adventurers clothing as she would spend less time in taking the measurements.
The adventurers themselves would be making their own adjustments to the clothes and leaving the sewers free to mass-produce these items of clothing. Only they had to entertain the curious onlookers and also the questions on the clothing that would be issued out.
10 coppers for a pair of adventures clothing would not cost much as the meals they spend at the Greasy Spoon would be much more on a single night per person...!
Due to the overwhelming response from the public, Innes had to engage a few more sewers to cope with the demand as they would be making prefabricated clothes by the bundle.
Two sewers were assigned to make the emblems and we saw that it was beautifully done something like a crosstitch design on the kind of frame.
"Don you want to be an adventure too, my little darlings? Hahaha. You must be excited to venture out of this town when you grow older right? Finish up your school and then you start making your mark outside, yes? Studies are important and therefore would make you a more refined person."
I explained to the twins as they were bounding in our arms as they saw a lot of people milling inside the Clothing Store and they thought that they would be getting more new clothes for themselves.
After a few rounds of greeting and meet with the new curious adventurers, we headed out, leaving Innes and the group of helpers to complete their jobs.
With some new lockstitch machines, the sewers were able to complete a single piece of clothing in about 30 minutes or less each.
We went back to the domain and saw Michelle and Gwen taking down the list of names and had entered it into yet another journal called Adventurers Guild Members.
After the news had been spread, throngs of people lined up to see the new adventures clothes and also were excited to know of tasks being given out once the building had been fully constructed.
"Good morrow, Your Majesty. We are compiling these new names for the registration of new Adventurers Guild members and to date, we have more than 50 names so far."
"There are a whole lot more people lining up to be adventurers right now and I bet we would be getting more tasks as well right? Mind if you could share some information with us so we could make these tasks later on?"
Gwen motioned for us to come closer as she too was excited to know of the tasks that would be issued out currently.
"There is a task at hand that required these adventurers to go into 8 different directions using this town as its centre point. The first task would be for the adventurers to visit towns, villages and settlements that were not listed by Eagle later on."
"This is to spread the news of our town that is due to expand in time to come as we need more manpower to deal with the crop fields before wintertime."
"As usual, these fields would be planted with winter wheat and by the first week of spring, these winter wheat would then be ready for harvesting."
"There would be a total of 1250 crop fields and we need at least 4 to 6 farmers handling these at the initial stage and then up to 10 farmers when it comes to harvesting, removing the spikes, cutting the stalks, drying the grains, removing the hulls and then milling it down to flour before storing them in vats at the Granary as whole grains or milled flour."
"Eagle would brief those to you in detail when the time comes since they would be persuading the Lords of some towns, if any, to diplomatically release their serfs to us since we would be paying the Lords accordingly to headcount."
I explained and the two ladies looked on as they pondered on how much we would be spending on the release of those serfs to us.
"Alright then, Your Majesty. We would not wish to know how much there is to spend for the release of those serfs here as we are very sure that the resources within the Treasury would be well more than enough."
"Yes, that's right Michelle. Don't worry about those monetary but I am sure that the rewards for the tasks would matter most. Just a word of advice for the new adventurers, they would cover as many towns, villages and settlements as possible and to report back here once their tasks are done."
"Someone would be recording accordingly to how many places these adventurers had covered and then we would only release the rewards once the inhabitants had arrived. For those towns that had no Lord's control over them, then our resources within the Treasury remains intact."
"We only pay to those Lord's who brought over their serfs to us. In this way, we could save up some coins as there would be more people coming in voluntarily."
"At least, our adventurers could also entice these people that there is more work to be done and also being paid accordingly."
The two ladies before us nodded their heads in agreement to whatever I had mentioned earlier. We seldom get any rebuttals from them based on our judgement and decisions lately.
"This task is going to be a two stars task and require 4 people in a party. For each successful town, village or settlement that they had announced, they would earn a reward of 20 silvers each."
"In other words, if a party of adventurers managed to persuade 4 towns over, and based on their accumulative reports made to the records of towns visited, they would earn up to 80 silvers...!"
"Of course, it would be paid to them in gradual phases. You get what I am trying to say, am I right? Besides, it's a workable plan and so it would be up to both of you to explain to the rest of the adventurers then."
"We would be issuing the task to both you and the criteria as well as the rewards. Then you dessimate the information to the adventurers and get it right the first time."
"There would be more tasks along the way and right now we have these 8 tasks on hand at the moment. We hope to see results as the adventurers venture further out to spread the good tidings."
I explained and my sudden tone of voice changed to quite serious and the two ladies listened intently as they drilled the important facts into their minds so that they would not miss a thing.
Of course, we have to give them a guideline so that they would not give out Insufficient information to the adventurers. 8 tasks, 4 men team and that would only be available to the first 32 adventurers. The rest would have to wait in queue for the remaining tasks at hand.
