Chapter One
Author's POV Kaley had a dream where she woke up to the sound of the pack howling. She got out of bed and walked to the window. She couldn't see anything unusual. The sky was still dark, and the moon was shining brightly. She shrugged her shoulders and was about to get back to bed when she noticed a group of people running towards the pack's territory. Her heart skipped a beat as she realized they were rogues. Kaley ran to the door and opened it, and then she saw him. Alan. Her heart started racing as she remembered the torture he had put her through, and the baby in her womb. Alan walked towards her, his eyes filled with malice. "Hello, Kaley," he said, grinning. "Long time no see." Kaley stepped back, trying to hide her fear. "What do you want?" she asked, her voice trembling. Alan chuckled. "I want you, of course. And the baby too." He stepped closer, and Kaley could feel his breath on her face. Kaley closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She knew she had to be strong for her baby. She opened her eyes and looked straight into Alan's eyes. "You're not taking me or my baby," she said firmly. Alan's grin turned into a frown. "Oh, I am, Kaley. And there's nothing you can do about it." Kaley took another step back, but she stumbled and fell to the ground. Alan walked towards her, his hand raised to strike her. Kaley closed her eyes, waiting for the blow, but it never came. When she opened her eyes, she saw a blurry figure standing over her, his eyes filled with rage. "Stay away from her," he growled. Alan stood up, his hands raised in surrender. "I'm just here to talk," he said, his voice calm. The figure didn't believe him. "Get out of here, Alan, before I kill you," he said, his fists clenched. Alan turned and walked away, disappearing into the darkness. Kaley stood up and walked towards the figure, her heart racing. "Thank you," she whispered. He turned to her, his eyes softening. "Are you okay?" he asked. Kaley nodded, tears filling her eyes. "I'm fine. Thank you for saving me." He wrapped his arms around her, holding her close. "I won't let anything happen to you or our baby," he promised. Kaley knew she was safe in His arms. But she also knew that Alan wouldn't give up so easily. She had to be strong, for herself, for the father of the child and for their baby. She knew the struggle was far from over, but she was ready for whatever came their way. Kaley's POV. My lady you're needed urgently,my maid had come running to my Chambers. I had just woken up to the sound of Conflicts. I felt it wasn't necessary for me to be down since my parents ,guard and my Best friend are safe. My mind was in a mess over the dream I'd just woken up to, What I saw downstairs shocked me to my bone marrow,I felt quicken goose bumps on my flawless skin, I saw my parents tied like criminals on their knees,About 3 guards in a pool of blood I'd assume we're theirs. Alan was seated legs crossed with a tumbler of wine swirling his hands, something wasn't right his hair wasn't brown anymore it's now red and his eyes had also changed. Don't Stand there gosling, I can see you like my new looks, funny how you had to trust someone wholeheartedly without having a doubt over the person's level of sincerity.well I had always been on lenses and Wigs since you've known me in highschool. But Alan why ,why did you decide to do this to me ? Why betray my family?? You could ask your dad that question, for he alone possesses the answer to that , The killing of an innocent woman who he got pregnant and wanted her shut without tarnishing his prestigious image. Truth be told, he was having a bit of resemblance to that of my dad, I mean if you look at his Jawline closely and his nose shape was similar to that of my Dad….. I turned to my dad at the same pace as the other people in the room, speechless …. Dad, do you have an explanation for this ?? And his accusations better be false !!! He isn't lying, I had his mother executed when she was turning into a Threat, making demands wanting to be the Luna of the pack. I lost my footing and crashed loudly beside my mom as she was now sobbing profusely, she had those looks that screamed of betrayal. I mean who wouldn't ?? Enough of the family drama . Alan stood up to my brother who had remained silent since I came down, pointing the pistol to his head. Alan's POV I had always envisioned how this day was going to be, a day where I shall have the alpha's Luna and the whole pack on their knees. I snickered and that got their attention. I walked up to The Alpha with the same pistol that took the life of my mother. With the two deafening sound which was heard, The alpha and Luna were drowning in there pool of blood, At long last I felt a huge relieve and was pleasured, I pulled my best friend who I had fallen in love with even though it wasn't part of my initial plan, besides it wouldn't hurt to keep her as my Luna and watch her drown in depression and desertion. Erica's pov "Erica." I shivered when I heard Alan's voice. He came to me like a predator stalking prey and I knew my days were numbered when he found his next victim. The last thing I wanted was to be taken in by him, but it wasn't like I had much of a choice now that my only other option was to die. "You know, Kaley, you are the one who always says we're not friends, right?" A cruel smile graced his lips as he leaned against the door frame. I couldn't help but laugh at how stupid I'd been to believe that Alan would actually help me escape from this hellhole called the Heather Moon pack. He might have been friendly at times, but he never showed me any mercy and it only served to further prove to me how wrong I was about him. And what else am I supposed to call them when we're on base? "Lol." The word tasted bitter on my tongue. The smirk that crossed his face was answer enough. That's all it took for him to lunge towards me, grabbing me roughly and pinning me to the bed. A scream erupted from my throat, my legs kicking wildly under the blanket as I struggled to get away from him. There was no hope; if anything this just meant I was going to die even sooner. He tightened his grip around my wrist with one hand and used his free one to unbutton his jacket. My eyes widened in horror, trying to focus on anything besides his cold hands. When he finished taking off his clothes, Alan looked down at me once more with a sinister expression on his handsome face. My heart pounded in my chest, the blood rushing through my veins so loud that I thought I'd be deaf before he finally brought down his knee and drove his knee into my stomach. The pain was intense, sending searing daggers through my body. I cried out again, tears running down my cheeks. When he reached down to remove his pants, I squeezed my eyes shut, begging my impending doom to hurry up and end this suffering already. There was a sudden pressure against my shoulder, making me cry out once more. Opening my eyes, I met his gaze and he smiled triumphantly, holding a needle. I screamed again, my body jerking uncontrollably against the hard mattress. He chuckled. “It seems you’re getting weaker.” With that, he plunged the needle into my skin. The drug began working immediately, numbing my nerves as well as spreading warmth throughout my entire body. I could do nothing but lie there while the numbness spread until I felt drowsy, the world slowly becoming black. I woke up with a gasp and blinked rapidly, disoriented after waking up. All I saw were white walls surrounding my prison cell. I glanced around, trying to figure out where exactly I was. Where is everyone else? Are they alright? Then something caught my eye. On the floor nearby was an empty syringe. My heartbeat quickened at the realization that someone had come here. But why? I suddenly remembered Alec and what he did, my heart thumped wildly as I remembered what he said and did. I decided to run away today, I don't know how I would do it, but that would happen. I'd rather die than make Alan hurt me again. Taking some shaky breaths, I swung myself onto my feet and began pacing back and forth in the small cell thinking of what to do. An escape idea entered my head immediately, one that seemed completely insane and yet, there was a good chance it could work. It was risky, but if I succeeded, then I might be free from him, and that's all that mattered. After pacing back and forth for several minutes, I heard a noise coming from outside my cell. I froze, my breathing stopped and my pulse picked up. Could it possibly be my salvation? Maybe they came after all... But no, the sound didn't seem to belong to anyone. It sounded like shuffling footsteps outside and then a quiet conversation that carried on for what seemed like minutes. Whoever it was left soon after and I relaxed, hoping they wouldn't come back again. I used the hairpin I hid in by opening the cell, looking around and I saw no one. I sauntered off, keeping close to the wall, praying that they wouldn't come back for a long time. And then everything went horribly wrong. As I turned the corner into another corridor I came face to face with two people dressed in gray suits and matching caps. They held identical pistols pointed at me. For the second time that day , my breath caught in my throat. This time I was scared out of my wits, too afraid to move. "Stop!" One of the men ordered and I froze in place, my eyes fixated on the gun aimed straight at me. My muscles tensed in anticipation as I waited for the bullet to hit its mark. I hit their legs and they screamed, stepping back, releasing me. I bolted down the hall, desperately searching for an exit or a way out. The sounds of gunshots echoed behind me. I didn't stop until I slammed into the solid ground, panting harshly, my heart pounding as if it would explode at any minute. I didn't waste any time running off through the halls. I ran blindly and didn't stop for any reason, almost falling over multiple times. I tried not to look behind me but it became impossible to ignore. No matter where I went, they were still following me. The fear and adrenaline made every step that much harder. I was beginning to lose my sense of direction when I heard footsteps coming closer to me. I ran faster, pushing past the pain in my legs to keep going. Suddenly, I crashed to the floor face first. The breath rushed out of me and I coughed, my vision swimming in front of my eyes. My whole body ached but I pushed myself back up nonetheless, using whatever strength I had left to stand. I have to escape. Author's POV Kaley's heart was pounding as she ran, the sound of her footsteps echoing through the forest. She could hear the snarls and growls of her pursuer, Alan, who was closing in on her with each passing moment. Her breaths came out in ragged gasps, her legs ached with exertion, and she could feel her muscles screaming for her to stop, but she refused to give up. She knew that if she was caught, Alan would show her no mercy. In desperation, she saw the edge of a cliff coming up ahead. Without a second thought, she ran straight for it, leaping off the edge and plummeting down towards the water below. The wind rushed past her, whipping her hair around her face, as she fell faster and faster towards the jagged rocks at the base of the cliff. For a moment, she felt weightless, and then the icy water enveloped her, dragging her under the surface. Kaley's heart raced as she struggled to break free of the water's grasp, her lungs burning for air. She fought her way back to the surface, gasping for breath, and swam towards the shore. When she finally reached land, she lay there, panting and shivering, feeling a strange mix of fear and relief wash over her. She knew she had just narrowly escaped Alan's clutches, but she also realized that she had no idea where she was or what lay ahead of her. As she looked around, she realized that she was in a different pack's territory. She knew that if she was caught here, she could be in just as much danger as before. With a heavy heart, she began to trudge forward, hoping against hope that she might find sanctuary in this new land. Pov: Kaley Wilson. I tried to continue forward but my legs started shaking so much that I collapsed to the ground. It felt like my bones were going to break any moment. I could hear the footsteps growing louder and closer to me, their voices sounding like shouts in my ears. I was getting closer to the edge of the cliff and I jumped off immediately, barely managing to land safely, not without twitching and thorns over my body. I managed to pull myself along the thorns trying to find a perfect place for seclusion until the voices grew quieter and I was able to hear my own labored breathing. I was safe now. I stayed in that spot for a while until my energy ran out and my eyelids became too heavy to stay open. Slowly I opened my eyes."Who are you?" I gasped when my eyes met fierce eyes.he had the uniform similar to that of a royal guard, I just hope I'm safe as he pull me from the Spot that'd saved me. Carrying me piggystyle over his shoulder he walked for a bit before I blanked out again. Slowly I opened my eyes."Who are you?" I gasped when my eyes met fierce brown eyes,"Mate, mate." My wolf danced. POV: Liam Scott. Taking walks was not really my thing. Mm-mm. In fact, I hated them. A lot. Walks always reminded me of the fact that I was absent when…. Oh dear me, I shouldn’t be remembering such sad things. Mom and Dad wouldn’t want me to be sad. “His highness, seems like you are going for a walk?” I heard Liz’s voice and I turned and stared at her. Liz was my f**k buddy. I mean, I f**k around yeah but I f****d her the most. It kind of made her feel powerful, but as long as nobody gets hurt, she can go on a power trip as much as she wants. “Yes, I am. I think I need a bit of fresh air.” I answered. “In that case, your highness, can I follow you? I, too, need a bit of fresh air. Perhaps, we could do some little shenanigans in the wild?” Liz asked, with a sultry voice that made blood rush into my member. “Tempting, Liz. Tempting. But I wish to go alone.” I said and I saw her face curve into a frown. “But, Your Highness, you need someone to protect you.” She said and I snickered. “Someone to protect me. Well, true as that sounds, Would you be the one to protect me? You cannot wield a sword, or shoot an arrow. How can you protect me?” I asked and she sighed. “That is correct, sadly. But it is because your highness refuses to teach the way of warfare.” Liz said. “You delay me Liz .” I said and she bowed her head. “I shall take my leave now, your highness. Do have a safe walk, and come back to me hale and hearty.” She said and walked out of my presence. Ah, silence at last. Now I can take my walk in peace. Liz has been with me after the death of my family members, Gray had always rejected her, saying she possess an aura he can decipher which could also be malicious,I debunked his claims Perhaps it had to do with the fact that he has to share me with Liz and he's probably jealous of that, he had always said it wasn't that for he doesn't care if I f**k around but not with Liz for she seems to be the perfect definition of a Good digger or 'a green snake in a green grass' waiting to strike at any moment . I hope I don't regret going out on a walk today again, ever since my family demise I haven't stepped out of the courtyard without the packs chariot.
