Stella's POV
I hurry after he whispers screeching "give it back to me" so I won't disturb the few people milling about. He just keeps getting farther away the brown wrapping paper around the box sticking out like a sore thumb in his arms, so I run after him before anyone can see and shove him into an empty closet once I get close enough.
"Okay, okay, you win" I close my eyes and take a deep breath
"It's a… toy" I finally say, my face getting hot. He squints at me for a moment then says" What type of toy" real slowly, dragging the words like he wants to torture me. "None of your business" I hiss and try to grab the package again
"Ah ah ah" he tsks moving the package away from me
"What type of toy," he says moving closer. My breath stills in my lungs, I lower my eyes so I don't have to
