"Yeah man, some guys said they saw you walking Stella to her cottage late last night"
"Oh," I say lamely. it's easy to forget that someone is always watching her. "She was the last person at my place so I just walked her back cause it was dark." I shrugged. It was the truth.
"And you guys didn't do anything."
