“You look magnificent, your Highness.” Emmett smiled as Andrewe smoothed the wide lace collar flat over shoulders and chest. A fitted, dark blue velvet jacket hung underneath the lace, cinched tight with clasps adorned with gold and sapphire. Further ruffles of lace, gathered and bouffant sat at each cuff, hiding almost a full half of each hand where some of the finest rings in the country glistened in sunlight. Breeches designed to match the jacket, also fitted, also clasped at the knee with jewel and precious metal, also the colour of a furious sea, lay over cream coloured hose. Only Andrewe’s shoes looked dainty—dyed to match the hose and decorated with fine gold swirls and whirls.
Andrewe lifted an eyebrow and c****d his head. “What are you grinning at?”
