Chapter 8

Addison’s POV

After I clean up all the doggies, I go back to my room to change my clothes. Of course the same clothes I need to wear again. 

‘‘Oh what happened to you? Did Sylvester do something awful to you?” Miss Shantal asked me when she saw me going upstairs.

‘‘No Miss, I cleaned up the dog house and the same goes with the doggies,’’ I explained. ‘‘And I passed the initiation rights he gave me,’’ I added. 

‘‘Really? I never thought that those doggies would behave well on you. Honestly, if Sylvester is hiring for a new assistant, it is always the dog house that needs to be clean first, luckily, the doggies like you.’’ I smiled at her, and I excused myself  because I needed to change my outfit. 

After that conversation, I headed directly towards my room. When I entered my room, the phone suddenly rang so I picked it up. 

‘‘Where are you? It’s been twenty minutes already yet you’re not done?’’ he lamented. 

‘‘I am already done S-sir, I am in my room to change my outfit because I am wet,’’ I apologized to him. 

I heard him, mumbled something but I didn’t hear it. ‘‘I’ll be there in ten minutes S-sir, gonna hang this call,’’ I awkwardly conveyed it. 

I didn’t hear any replies from him but only the sounds of the telephone indicating someone dropped the call already. I was disappointed with that man, he is like a stone that needs to be broken in order to know him better. Without wasting any time, I quickly grabbed the towel from the cabinet, and went inside the bathroom. 

I quickly washed my body, and cleaned all the mess. Afterwards I change my clothes and check myself in the mirror. I get my lip tint because I look pale, I put some of it on my lips and there you go. When I came out from the bathroom, the telephone rang again but I didn’t pick the call. Instead I quickly ran downstairs. And the moment I stepped to the ground floor, I ran again towards the maid to ask where Sylvester's office was.

After knowing the direction, I thank her and I directly look for the said office. It was kinda hard looking for it not until he left his office. ‘‘What took you so long?’’ He sat on his gold swivel chair. 

‘‘L-looking for your office S-sir,’’ I stated. ‘‘It was kinda hard because you know, your mansion is very big, and I am still not familiar with different doors here, including your office,’’ I added. 

‘‘I thought, you were given a map of this mansion by Shantal? Where is it?’’ He asked. 

I swallowed my own saliva because of this man. He is very intimidating right now but still he is handsome. 

‘‘You’re so handsome…’’ I suddenly had a slip of thoughts. ‘‘No…no…S-sir what you heard from me is not right,’’ I explained even though I really meant to say it. 

‘‘So you mean I am not handsome and hot?’’ I saw him smirking. ‘‘Because of that, you need to bring this to the company, and you have to find it on your own, then you have to commute.’’ He got the big box and placed it on top of his table. 

My eyes widened after seeing the box. The box does not fit on my body—I am too skinny to carry it. 

‘‘After that, you need to feed the stray kids you will see along the way and you need to record it. Here’s the camera.’’ He handed me the camera and I put it on my neck in order to carry it. 

I smiled in my thoughts knowing he ordered me to feed the stray kids. I thought this man is completely a beast but I was wrong, the goodness in him is actually hidden. 

‘‘B-but really S-sir I need to carry this alone?’’ 

‘‘Y-yes and if you asked for help you will be punish, okay?’’ he explained. 

‘‘O-okay Sir, is there anything you want to add?’’ After I asked him, he quickly thought of something he wanted me to do aside from the things he already said. 

Since he is still thinking, I turned my back to him and I scanned his office. What I have observed about his office is, it is a combination of black and white and it really suits his personality. There are also different paintings inside but the painting that caught my attention is the woman with a blank face? I am not really sure if this is a woman, but the hairstyle of the image is like mine.

‘‘Don’t touch it…’’ 

I immediately turned my back towards him. For the first time, he talked to me calmly and it was kinda weird. I walk back to the place I stood earlier and look him directly in the eye. Those hazel brown eyes are very intimidating yet compelling. I couldn’t take my eyes off it, and I don’t know why. 

‘‘What are you doing?’’ I came back to senses the moment he uttered those words. 

‘‘N-nothing S-sir, do you have something to add?’’ I changed the topic ‘cause I felt awkward right now. 

‘‘I also want you to buy some Jollibee for all the maids here, you can include yourself. And you must be here by 3 PM in the afternoon, understood?’’ I nodded at him and got the box. 

When I carry it, I almost drop it since it is really heavy and the weight of this box doesn’t suit my body. However, for the sake of my work and parents I’ll endure everything. I bid goodbye to him and went outside. 

The moment I called for help he shouted that he had the CCTV that checked on me so I refused to ask for help and carry it all by myself. I am almost dying carrying this box alone, however, a lot of the maids and other colleagues here offered help but I refused all of them. I am so thankful that after I reach the main door, the bus that will send me towards the gate is already there. 

‘‘Thanks God…’’ I said after I put the box inside the bus. 

I am almost dying, carrying this alone knowing this mansion is so big. After a couple of minutes, I arrived at the main gate, luckily the guard helped me to carry the box. 

I know, the eyes of Sylvester aren't here already so yeah, without a doubt, I let the guard help me. I waited for almost twenty minutes under the sun waiting for a cab to pass by. 

"Where should I drop you, Miss?" The driver asked me but what really caught my attention was the word Miss. 

Until now, I wasn't used to it, like most of the people are mistaken about my identity, though I am gay. 

"I don't know yet the exact place of Studio 51 clothing line Mr. That's exactly the place where you should drop me by," I answered him. 

"Okay, I know exactly where Studio 51 is. Do you work with Mclaine?" I nodded and after that, he never asked me a question again. 

While traveling, I make myself happy by seeing the different things that I am seeing as we pass by. I never thought that this place could be so beautiful. It comprises tall buildings but also composed of trees that makes it eco-friendly. 

As we arrived, I was really fascinated with the design of the building. Very modern, and I don't know how many floors it has. One thing I know, this is very tall. 

"Thank you Mr. for bringing me here safely." I gave him the one thousand peso bill. "Keep the change Mr."  I saw his smile and I am so happy about it.  

"Let me bring that inside, okay?" He insisted. 

Despite the strictness I experienced from Sylvester, someone out there alter the situation. 

"Where should I found the office of the Human Resource Miss?" I asked the personel of the front-desk. 

"Are you Miss, Addison? The one that Sir, Sylvester sent here?" She asked and I just nodded at her.

"Okie Miss, here's Johnny, she will guide you there." 

"Thank you so much, let's go?" The guy named Johnny nodded so I followed him. 

Right now, I am free and just following the guy in front of me until we ride the transparent elevation where you can see everything going up and going down. What a great idea! 

"Where here Miss." The elevator opened and we went outside. 

As of now, I realized that we're here at 35th floor. See, I've told you guys that this building is very tall. 

"This is the office of Mr. David Cruzados Miss, you can knock and he will let you in." I nodded at him and after that he left me all alone with this heavy box again. 

I knocked on the door three times, and I don't know how I managed to knocked knowing that I am carrying something heavy and big right now. 

I was shocked after seeing the guy named David. He look likes Zayn Malik but a hunk one. 

"Oh let me help you with that!" He immediately get the box from me, and I followed him inside. 

"Hi, I am David Cruzados, the Human Resource Director and I am also the cousin of Sylvester," he expelled. 

He handed his right hand and he wants us to  shake hands. So what I did, I get first the alcohol from my small bag and sprayed it on my hand. 

"Hello, Sir, I-I am Addison Villafuente the personal assistant of Sylvester." We shaked our hands after I introduced myself. 

"Please have a seat first, I know that Sylvester is instructing you to do something awful and hard, isn't it?" He asked. 

I seated first in the sofa inside his office. And he offered some cold water for me. I drink it first 'cause I am really thirsty right now. 

"T-thank God, someone gave me water!" I said knowing that David is still here. "Oh I-I am very sorry, I a-almost forgot about you because of this water," I apologized. 

I saw him smiling, and he's so handsome indeed especially seeing those dimples. 

"Anyway, I have to go, I have something to accomplish aside from this," I uttered intensely. 

"Oh wait, let me help you with that. Can I?" 

"A-are you really sure? Don't you have something to work on today?" I asked him. 

"None actually, I just want to have some fun today actually." He stands up and stretches his body. "Let's go?" 

"L-let's go?" 

After that conversation, we went outside together and the same goes with riding the elevator. I felt awkward and ashamed because most of the workers here were looking at us. 

I know the reason why, it is because of this handsome man beside me. 

"Don't mind them, okay? I'll drive you to the place where you are going right now, where is it?" He asked me.

Before I answered him, we went inside the elevator first. "Actually, I am just going to find stray kids out there and I am going to feed them. B-but I don't want just to feed them, I want to enjoy even just for a day," I crooned. 

"Okay let's do it then, I got you!" He answered. 

My eyes widened after hearing those words from him. I think I got a new friend today and I am gonna break the rule just this day, I am sorry Sylvester.
