Chapter sixteen

Regina's pov

I reminisced about the scene from earlier, it was really fun to tease Gwen the almighty , Blue's wild cat.

He even act like the boss with me ... Hmph , we're of the same age but he was trying to control me . To be honest, I acted out because I was offended by the way he spoke. How could he say ' I'll send fans out . Fans can't be accepted as employees or else they would reveal their idol's private life and cause harm to him . "

How dare him think so low of fans . I mean, we are not some crazy paparazzi or vicious reporters . We devote ourselves to Blue's fan base and we definitely won't do anything to harm our idol .

With thoughts rushing through my mind, I bit down on a large piece of the pancakes.

Getting angry and embarrassed is one thing but eating is another thing.

Although I was embarrassed that Blue caught me teasing Gwen seriously but I need food to be able to handle situations.

I was halfway through the delicious meal , I heard Gwen voice thundering loudly.

Seriously, what's wrong with this boy and his anger issues. He was always calm during interviews and videos no matter how upsetting the interviewer's question is .

This simply shows that we can't trust everything we see online. Some celebrities can be so deceiving.

Ignoring the noise , I continued eating until the door was pushed open with a loud screech , it then slammed shut .

I jumped in my seat , letting my fork fall to the ground. Gwen walked in with a scowl on his face. Anger and frustration was obviously spelled out on his face.

Blue walked in after him with a cold look on his handsome face, he went upstairs. Probably to his room. Sensing the strange atmosphere, I stood up stiffly and walked towards the only person that could satisfy my curiosity.

" Did something happen ? " I asked cautiously, afraid of upsetting the wild cat. His gaze flicked towards mine sharply. I thought he was going to ignore me but to my surprise he spoke.

" Did you know that I would have lost my life ten minutes from now? " He said .

" Somebody had the audacity to try to kill us ! " He vents pacing in the room as my eyes widen .

" What? How ?" I asked surprised.

" They tampered with the car brake . Those assholes , who hide in darkness. Hmph, what if Rex was not cautious enough to check the car . What if we had set out to work. We'd definitely be at the hospital by now. " He rants on and I listened with ultimate attention.

I was surprised as a dreadful emotion washed over me . Who wanted to kill Blue that badly ? How did they manage to get into the compound without getting caught ? It simply shows that the person who did it was an expert and the security was not strong enough. This house was not safe anymore. They would definitely leave.

' What about me ? ' was this the point where we bid good bye . I fidget with my fingers.

Footsteps approach us as I turned to see who it is . Blue came down the stairs with a calm and indifferent expression. He seemed to have figured something out.

" What's the fuse about? " He asked casually , not like someone who would have been dead from a car accident.

His strength and ability to control everything around him made him more charming and heartbreaking, bringing tears to my eyes .

" Go get your things , we're leaving in an hour " he told Gwen patting his shoulder. Well , that was expected but I couldn't help but panic internally.

' where would I go to ? ' I thought. I could find a part time job that offer accommodation . Can I? It may be hard to see such offer but with my hard work I could definitely find a good job. I consoled myself as my eyes darted towards Blue who was now standing before me .

'When did he get here ? '

My eyes wandered about the living room searching for Gwen. I figured he would have gone to his room while I was caught up in my thoughts.

I pinched my finger before looking up . His blue eyes were bright , making me lost . If I had knots in my stomach before, now suddenly I had butterflies as I gazed into his eyes .

His pink lips stretched into a small smile . I could hear my heart tump loudly as I watched him move . He grabbed a tissue from the dining table.

" Here " he said giving me the tissue.

" Huh ? " I asked snapping out of my daze .

" You have oil all over your mouth " he stated and I froze . My face went hot instantly as I grabbed the tissue to wipe my face as I turn away from him .

" What were you thinking about that made you so engrossed " He asked and I paused.

" Ways to survive. Since I'm about to be dumped " I replied with my back against him but it wasn't the way I wanted it to sound. It

sounded harsh . Nevertheless, I continued to wipe my face.

He was silent for a while and I finally turned around to face him , mentally bracing myself not be be lost in his eyes. His six feet tall frame slightly hovered my five point three frame .He raised his incredulous gaze up to my eyes .

" It's fine , I'll find a way. Thanks for helping me all this while. " I said giving him a reassuring smile. He raised a brow as if he was urging me to continue.

" You are a really good person. Although , we have many nice people in New York, it's hard to find a good person. It was really nice cooking for you, an A-list . I'll keep cheering for you. " I said casting my gaze to the ground.

" Do you plan to join my Fan base " he said as if that was the only thing he heard . I cold sense playfulness in his voice which made me quite puzzled .

" Y-yes " I muttered stiffly.

" The don't let Gwen know about it else he'll give you a really hard time" He replied and I blinked stiffly.

What is he trying to say? I don't get it.

" What? Are you a dummy. We are just changing the apartment not the employees. Besides , you owe me for saving your life , so focus on making delicious meals for me as a pay back. " Blue said and I felt as if a weight has been lifted off my head .

My cheeks turned pink and I bit my lips in embarrassment. What made me think they weren't going to need a cook at their new house?

Maybe, I was a bit paranoid since I was used to being abandoned by people close to me .

That's just how my life had always been .

" Why didn't you say that earlier" I grumbled out .

" It'd have been a shame if I didn't here you say what you said earlier , fan girl ." He said smirking playfully. I turned away , damn ! He always have a way of winning arguments .

" Go get your things, Gina " he said , whispering in my ear before walking outside the door. I could hear his light chuckle as he went out .

My eyes widened. I stood there like a statue, unable to move as I swallowed hard. His hot breath lingered on my ear for a long time. I touched my ear in daze .

That bast*rd ! Was he trying to seduce me ? ! .
