Of the sun rising from the east,

Of dreams I was going to build

Each crumbled and disappeared in the mist

The glow I saw on your face faded,

It became dim,

The smile ghosted your mouth,

And everything going north went south

I ran to you and just as I touched your fingers,

My eyes got blind,

My fingers burned,

You turned into a monster,

Someone I don't know,

You scratched me with your claw

Crimson oozed from my chest

As I stared at you with tears in my eyes,
