Held Within the Cell With Mischief

2142 Words
On the S.H.I.E.L.D. airship, Loki is placed in an effective holding cell along with Y/N, who Natasha believes to be connected somehow to his attacks. The Avengers were in the meeting area, Nick Fury seemingly furious about the woman imprisoned in the same holding cell as Loki. Nick speaks, a sound of annoyance in his voice. “Can anybody tell me…. Why is there a civilian stuck in the cell with Loki instead of at home or in another cell?” Natasha speaks out. “I have my suspicions that she may be connected to his attacks somehow. She was there when he launched his first attack on that party and we found him at her house, talking with her, possibly threatening her.” Nick rubs along his head, sighing. “Okay. So you assumed that just because a witness, who was at the party at the time of the attack, who Loki tracked down, possibly to kill her, may have been an accomplice?” Tony raises his hand, relaxing in his seat. “If I may? While this theory is wildly impossible, we really don’t know much about either of them, do we? Other than the fact that he’s Point-break’s adopted brother with daddy issues.” Thor, grasping his hammer closely approaches the table. “While I can agree that my brother is a very challenging brother, I can also agree with the woman that the human in that cell may have some association with him. He is known for being a trickster where I come from, so perhaps he did some convincing and made her join him.” Nick crosses his arms, bemused. “While that is all well and good, that still doesn’t prove a thing about her involvement with anything he may have done. For all we know, we just left an innocent woman at the hands of an otherworldly psychopath with a god complex!” Thor raises a finger a bit, chuckling. "Actually, he really is a God. The God of Mischief. Nothing complex at all." Steve shakes his head as he gets up from his seat. “I’m afraid I’ll have to agree with Nick. This is a highly unethical strategy to play considering that that woman may turn out to be just an innocent bystander who we just fed to a snake.” Natasha rubs along her temples a bit. “Okay, I admit, my theory may seem a little nuts, but I don’t think we can trust anyone until we can get some proper information on them! I just have a bad feeling and-” “Oh, so this is all based on a gut feeling, is it?” Nick spits back venomously, now even more annoyed. “You are supposed to be this intelligent super spy and you are telling me that a gut feeling is what’s keeping this woman in that cell?” Tony eventually gets up, holding his hand out a bit. “Now, Nick. I think we can all agree that what her theory suggests is a little on the debunked side, but there is really no need to be getting angry here. We can just go up to the cell and get her out to another location on this ship.” Bruce eventually speaks out in concern. “I don’t think we can just do that. Who’s to say that Loki wouldn't use her as a hostage to bargain his way to freedom again? It’s too dangerous to just walk in there and get her out.” Nick looks to Bruce. “I don’t think I’m gonna like what you’re suggesting, Banner.” Bruce takes a breath, trying to remain calm enough to explain. “While it is baffling that Loki went after this woman in the first place, it might be better if we left her in there with him. She could be the key to understanding his motives.” Thor frowns as he then sets his hammer on the table. “By better, you mean more dangerous. I know, Loki. He’ll kill anyone who gets in his way.” Tony then raises his hand toward Thor. “Now, now, now, hold on. I think he could be onto something here.” Nick then glares at Tony. “Stark, don’t tell me you’re actually agreeing with this now when you just suggested breaking her out! Which is it gonna be?” “I say we leave her there. For all we know, she could actually be useful to us. Maybe she also has charms or something.” Tony crosses his arms as he sits back down. Thor sighs as he shakes his head. “I have a really bad feeling about this…” Meanwhile… Y/N slowly begins to stir from unconsciousness, groaning as she sits up, holding her head. “Well, it’s about time you’ve awakened.” Loki’s voice rang out to her as she looked toward him, still a bit dazed. “I was almost worried they may have left a dead woman with me. Not that I wouldn’t mind, but it would honestly surprise me if my brother were to allow that.” Y/N looks at Loki, a bit startled as her eyes then widen. “Y-You?!” Loki waves his fingers toward her, smirking. “Surpriiiiise~” Y/N then looks around, taking in her surroundings as it begins to click where she was. “Oh no. Oh no no no, this can’t be happening. Why am I here? With you of all people?!” “Your guess is as good as mine, but I really don’t mind as long as you keep me entertained. At least until I managed to find a way out of this silly container they placed us in.” Y/N soon stands up and tries to keep her distance at the other side of the small round cell. “You try anything with me, I’ll scream… I mean it!” Loki chuckles, crossing his arms. “And what makes you think I won’t silence you before you utter a single sound? Not even a whimper. And what makes you think that standing there will do a thing to stop me from simply approaching you?” He starts approaching her, smirking mischievously as his hands reach out at her. Y/N backs up, her back hitting on the glass as he was just within her reach. She quickly throws a swift punch at his jaw, making him reel back as he holds his jaw. He seemed shocked for a moment before he grins, chuckling to himself as he pops his jaw a bit. “Now I’m beginning to like you. Hahah…” He winces as he eventually pops it back in place. “Maybe I really should make you mine. Which would you prefer? Slave? Mistress? My own personal Puppet?” Y/N scoffs in disgust. “You are the most disgusting man I have ever met! I will never be anything to you but a constant pain in your ass!” Loki shakes his head in amusement. “I already get enough of that from my own brother. You continue to amuse me. I honestly cannot seem to predict what you will do or say next with that vulgar mortal mouth.” Y/N scoffs again, shaking her head. “Know what? You’re not a man. You’re too disgusting to be a man. You’re a slimy little snake. An insignificantly arrogant little snake who’s more afraid if anything. And you know what? I think you’ve been alone all your life.” Loki stops smiling as he looks to Y/N. “I beg your pardon?” “That’s right. I can see it. You’re just a lonely snake trying to spread fear just to feel something. It’s typical! I’ve dealt with men like you my whole life, trying to find some weakness to get control of! Not this time, Your Majesty!” Loki frowns as he approaches again. She tries to swing a punch at him again as he grabs her wrist. She swings with the other as he grips it as well, bringing them together in one hand as he then pins them over her head to the wall, wrapping his other hand around her neck. “I think I know exactly what I want you to be… You’ll be my most obedient pet, after I take over this pathetic little realm and I will make you learn your place once I do.” He hears some incoming footsteps as he looks over a moment. He then moves his hand up her neck as he then covers Y/N’s mouth, creating an illusion around them of her still unconscious and him standing beside her. Black Widow sees the illusion as she crosses her arms as he turns around. “There’s not many people that can sneak up on me.” He says, almost a bit smugly. “But you figured I’d come.” She looks to the unconscious woman beside him. “I see our guest hasn’t woken up yet.” She says, slightly concerned, but more focused on Loki. The Loki Illusion responds to her. “No, she hasn’t. Less annoying to have some mortal droning on and on.” They both converse a bit as Natasha attempts to interrogate Loki, the real Loki listening in while keeping Y/N quiet. It seemed to be going well a bit until Clint was mentioned. The Loki Illusion approaches the glass. “You lie and kill under the service of liars and killers. You pretend to be separate, to have your own code, something that makes up for the horrors. But they are a part of you, and they will never go away!” He scoffs as he then slams his fist on the glass, looking Natasha square in the eyes as she flinched from the slam. “I won't touch Barton. Not until I make him kill you! Slowly. Intimately. In every way he knows you fear! And when he'll wake just long enough to see his good work, and when he screams, I'll split his skull! This is my bargain, you mewling quim!” Natasha quickly turns away from him, shuddering in disgust. “You’re a monster…” “No…” The Loki Illusion smirks as his arm slides off the glass. “You brought the monster.” Natasha sighs as she then turns back to him, more poised now. “So, Banner….. That’s your play.” The Illusion staggers back, more confused. “What??” Natasha soon speaks into her earpiece. “Loki means to unleash the Hulk. Keep Banner in the lab, I'm on my way. Send Thor as well.” She then looks back to the Illusion Loki, smirking. “Thank you for your cooperation.” As she walks away, the illusion falls apart as Loki stares past Y/N, shocked and confused. “She played me…” He lets go of her and slams his fist beside her head, letting out a roar of frustration. “That woman tricked me!” Y/N flinches from the slam, quivering before him as she looks up at him. He soon pulls his fist back and turns away, stepping away from her as he was internally fuming. He paces around the cell a bit, trying to process what had just happened. In an act of foolish bravery, Y/N taunts. “H-Hah! Looks like that ‘mewling quim’ played you good! To think you could be outsmarted by a mere mortal!” Loki stops and glares daggers at her as he approaches again, arms slamming beside her as he pins her again. “Do not toy with me… You are testing my patience, child, an action you will come to regret if you keep speaking.” Y/N looks up at him, dread building inside as she actually begins to believe him. This man seemed unstable to her and wouldn't hesitate to kill anyone in his way. But that wasn't about to stop her as she quickly shoves him away, making him stumble back. "I don't care what you do to me…. You will never make me kneel." Loki straightens his Asgardian leather out and brushes back his hair as he chuckles. "We'll see about that~"
