(Clara’s point of view)

Goliath holds my hand all the way to his office. I might be worried about what the future holds, but I will do everything I can to take down my uncle. I hope I can do it alone, seeing as Goliath can still die. I will have to keep it to myself, though.

((You won’t ever be alone again, Clara. You have me.))

((Stormy I am so glad to have you. Do you think we can just do this together.))

(( I am not sure, honestly. You can still be captured, and who knows how strong we will be when everything happens. Most importantly, I think we shouldn’t ever keep things from our mate.))

I kind of shrug in defeat. I have no idea what I am doing. I just don’t want anything bad to happen to anyone.

“Sweetheart what is going on? Are you worried about talking with Vivian? “

We get to the door, and I stop him. I hug him real tight breathing in his scent. He puts his arms around me, doing the same.

“Well Stormy says I need to be honest with you, so the truth is I am scared to lose you.”

“Clara the only way you will ever lose me is if you reject me. I am here with you forever as far as I am concerned.”

“I will never reject you, Goliath. I want to be together no matter what.”

He grabs my face and kisses me. He tastes so good. He pushes me against the door, making the kiss heated. We hear someone clear their throat behind us, and we pull apart. I feel embarrassed that we got so s****l out where people can see us. I can’t help myself, though. The stronger Stormy gets, the more I want to give in to my desires. I guess Goliath was right about wolves being s****l creatures.

“Sorry Alpha, Luna, I was told to wait outside the door while Sam brings Vivian down here.”

“Where are they now?” Goliath asks in an authoritative voice.

“He has taken her to her cottage to get dressed as you requested Alpha.”

“Clara let’s go in and wait.” He unlocks the door, and I walk in first. He dismissed the guard outside and walked in, closing the door.

“Goliath this is going to sound crazy but I feel hungry already.” He opens his desk drawer and hands me a protein bar.

“Go ahead and eat that. We should at least have another five minutes.” I scarf it down even though it didn’t taste very good. At least it is healthy, I guess.

( Stormy, am I always going to be this hungry?))

( Just until we get your body weight and health up enough for your shift. You will go back to a normal appetite once this is over. Just listen to your body and give it what it needs, okay.))

( I will do my best, Stormy. ))

There is a buzz on the intercom, and Goliath gets up and opens the door. I stand next to his chair so I will be close with him.

Goliath says something to Sam and tells Vivian to take a seat and points to the chair. Once she sees me, her face turns to a crazy angry face. If looks could kill, I would have died a thousand times. I try to keep a neutral soft smile on my face. I need to show that I can be mature and handle this even if she can’t. She takes a seat, and Goliath sits in his chair, pulling me onto his lap. This causes Vivian’s eye to twitch, but she is trying hard to look neutral.

“Now Vivian, I would like to start with letting you know that I know you lied about being a virgin.” He stops and looks at her. She appears to not be so worried, though.

“Oh Goliath, I only said that because I thought that’s what men like to hear. I thought it was a game we were playing, and you knew it wasn’t true the entire time. I am sorry if I misled you.” She says in her fake flirty voice. I feel anger trying to make its way up, but I stuff it down and smile.

“ Well, if that is true, it does not excuse last night. I have made it clear time and time again that we are nothing. Then you have the nerve to try that stunt, and worse of all, upset your future, Luna.” Vivian clenched her jaw tight when he called me the future Luna, but now she is smiling like a mad man.

“I am sorry, Alpha, and I am sorry, Clara. I never meant for things to go so far, but you see, I am pregnant with Goliath’s pups.” She pulls out a pregnancy test that clearly says pregnant. My heart stops, and the entire room goes quiet as Goliath looks at the test up close.

((She’s lying! I know you can feel it, say she is out loud. ))

( I can’t she has proof.))

((Does she really? Call her out on it.))

( I will look petty, and she will win if I do.))

((Fine don’t but you should really trust me.))

I can feel Stormy is upset with me, so I will try to meet her halfway. I get off of Goliath’s lap and head for the door. I can feel the smile of Vivian’s face even if I don’t see it.

“Clara please don’t go!”

“I am not going anywhere, babe. I am just getting Sam.” I glance at Vivian, and she loses her smile, looking unsure.

“Sam!”

“Yes Luna?” He says and bows.

“Would you mind taking Vivian straight to the pack clinic as soon as we send her out. Then make sure she makes it home safely after?”

“Yes Luna as you wish.” I close the door.

“Why are you sending me to the clinic?” Vivian asks, almost angry.

“If you are pregnant, then first you should get a check up and get some prenatal vitamins. Then, you need to get an ultrasound to prove you are pregnant to us. Afterwards, we can do a prenatal paternity test since we all know Goliath hasn’t been your only s****l partner.”

“How dare you. He is the father of my pups, and I know that for sure.”

Goliath pounds his desk with his fist, causing us both to jump and look at him.

“Vivian weather it is my pups or not, you will not speak to Clara that way. I don’t know if you noticed or not, but we marked each other, and she will be the next Luna of this pack.” She looks at our necks and gasps.

“But she is a human…” Goliath gives her a look that even scares me a little, and she shuts up. She bites her lips and clenches her fists. I think she might actually cry. I can’t stand to watch this any longer, so I open the door and call over Sam.

“Sam please escort Miss Ray to the clinic now.”

“Yes Luna!” He looks at Vivian, and she storms out the door without saying a word. I almost feel bad for her. Almost. I close the door and look at Goliath. He looks like he is in distress, so I walk over and sit back down on his lap, giving him kisses all over.

“Don’t worry, baby, I am not going anywhere. Besides, I have a feeling she isn’t telling the truth.”

“Why do you think that ?” He asks while he starts kissing my neck.

“Mmm.. Stormy thinks, so she is too.” He stops kissing my neck and looks at me.

“She said that?”

“Yes, She wanted me to tell her out loud that she was lying. I thought I would look petty just calling her out directly, so I tried to meet Stormy halfway. I think Stormy is mad at me for not doing it still.”

“Clara I know what she asked was a bit crazy sounding at the time, but you are going to have to give her your trust. I am not saying to let her make every decision, but if she has a strong instinct about something, you should go with it. She wouldn’t ever do something to hurt you.”

“I feel bad about it. I will try harder from now on to put my trust in her.” Goliath starts kissing my neck again, and it makes me giggle.

“Good, now how about we get you a snack then go to the clinic for that checkup you need?”

“I am starving. “ I say rubbing my belly.

After Goliath stands up, he stops before going to the door and turns to me. “If she does have my pups, I have to be in their lives, and I hope you choose to be as well.”

“Of course, Goliath. Anyone carrying your genes is going to be amazing, and I will love them with my entire heart.” He smiles and kisses me on the lips real fast. Come on let’s go down to the kitchen and get you something healthy to eat. We take the elevator and make out the entire way down. It is so hard for me to take my hands off of him. We sneak in the kitchen and manage to grab a few pieces of fruit before we make it out. It is hardly lunchtime, and they are already busy with tonight’s dinner. I noticed everyone is looking at me now and acting differently.

“Looks like they know you are the Luna they will meet at dinner tonight now that they seen us together.” Goliath whispers in my ear. I just give him a head nod while eating a nectarine we managed to snag. We make it to the clinic, and they make me fill out some paperwork since I am new. I haven’t been to the doctors since I was a child. I am starting to feel a little panicked.

“Goliath would you be able to go in with me? I am a little scared to go in alone.”

“As long as you tell the doctor, it is okay. I don’t see why I couldn’t. “ He is rubbing my arms, trying to help me relax.

“Clara Smith, the doctor is ready to see you now.”

We walk in and the doctor is very nice. He checks my blood pressure and heartbeat. Then he takes my blood and leaves to get it tested. I told him everything I could about what was going on with me, so he knew I wouldn’t be able to fast beforehand. Goliath and I just wait, holding each other’s hands, not knowing what to say. Thankfully, the doctor comes back not too much longer, holding a bottle of pills.

“You don’t appear to be in too much trouble here, but I want you to take these multivitamins and drink lots of water. If you continue to eat when you need to and do as I say, you will be able to start training as early as 48 hours from now. Also, we checked to see any signs of pregnancy, and while it really is too early to tell, you have come up negative so far. Please come in for a check-up the day before you turn, and we will get a better test then.” I felt relieved when he said I wasn’t pregnant since that meant no multiple pups. Goliath, on the other hand, looked a bit disappointed. On our way out, I hold both of his hands so he will look at me.

“We will have tons of babies once this is over. Until then, we will have a lot of fun trying for them.” I give him a wink. A growl slips through his lips, and he tickles my sides. I giggle so hard I can’t hardly breathe. I feel hungry again, but it gives me an idea.

“Goliath can I ask you for a favor?”
