That One Incident

Chapter 1: A Project Not So Awaited At 5:30 'o clock in the morning, three consecutive alarms rang "Ringggggggggggggg" With a lick of a cat in her face, Kelly woke up. It's another day she has to face in this tiring world. She opened her phone to check the newly updated chapters of the novels she was reading. She saw an update on the series "Campus Nerd to Campus Princess" and so she decided to read first. after reading a couple more updates and checking out new mangas, Kelly started preparing for school. She got up, picked up the stuffed toys that fell on the floor, and fixed her bed. She then proceeded to the bathroom to brush her hair, she stood in front of the mirror still facing out as she untangle her messy hair. After that, she took out the clothes she is going to wear to check if it was ironed or is need to be, after that, she got her towel and bathe. Humming while the water pours from the shower, Kelly imagines how far she has gone through this school year and how far along it still is until her long-awaited graduation. After almost 15 minutes, Kelly got out of the bathroom. She dried herself up and wore her uniform. She then brushed her hair in front of the mirror once more before going down to eat. Father: "Sweetie, come and eat." Kelly: In a moment Dad... Kelly checked the contents of her bag to make sure that everything she needed for the day was there. Once she confirmed that everything is in her bag, she went to eat. Dad: "Sweetie, did you pack all of your bags?" Kelly: "Yes, Dad."-Kelly said as she munched on her breakfast. Dad: "Even the ones for your apartment?" Kelly: "Sure, did!" Mom: "Dear, remember to eat properly when you're in your apartment, you're becoming thin." Kelly: "Hehe, I'll try mom" Mom: "Hehe ka dyan, don't keep eating instant noodles, if you do, I will no longer allow you to stay at your apartment." Kelly slightly scratched the back of her head and smiled as she knew that that was exactly what she was doing. Mom: "You should eat a lot, I'll just talk to your father for a bit." Kelly nodded and ate her breakfast as she was aware that it will be a long time before she'll eat that kind of breakfast again. After eating she called her dad. "Dad! I'm done eating, let's go please" Dad: "Alright, sweetie! I'll get the rest of your bag, you can get in the car and wait there. Kelly got her school bag, a few of her packed clothes, and her water bottle before going to the car. There she prayed for a quick moment, she sighed and said: "Another day, another experience!" Kelly's dad soon got in the car and drove her to her school. On the way there, she and her dad talked about plenty of stuff. Her dad told her that he and her mother are planning to get a new dog, a German shepherd. Kelly was glad to hear this as she longed to ask her parents to get a new dog. A few minutes later, they arrived at her school. Kelly said goodbye to her Dad and reminded him about the things he needs to drop off at her apartment. With her mind set on today's activity, she went out of the car, waved goodbye to her dad, and went on her way. Just like any day, a duplicate of yesterday, she proceeded with her classes and chatted with her classmates. During recess time, Kelly went to the canteen with her friends Rosy and Maya. Kelly: Have you guys finished the lecture on statistics? Rosy: Halfway, it's really difficult to complete overnight, especially with loads of work we had to finish in our other subjects... Maya: Same, I haven't even started our social studies scrapbook assignment. Ughhhhh, I'm really tired!!! While chatting the three reached the canteen, there awaits a long line of students at the cashier. Kelly viewed the food, took her favorite food, Espasol, and went to pay. Due to the long line, her friends were still stuck waiting there to pay, on the other hand, Kelly had the exact amount of money so she was able to sneak into the line and pay early. While waiting for her friends, she went out of the canteen. While standing outside, she saw a guy. The guy was tall, had broad shoulders, Dark hair, blue eyes, a handsome face, and was wearing a grey-stripped jacket. This guy was the one Kelly had her eyes on for almost a year now, his name is Mateo. Mateo is a graduating student of Crescent Science and Technology College, a talented, ace student of his batch. A guy admired by many for his skills and especially his looks. As Mateo passed by, Kelly stood in her place with an unnoticeable smirk, thinking about how good-looking Mateo is. While she was still mesmerized by the person she admires, her two friends came out of the canteen and called her. "KELLY!!!" She was startled and her wild imagination immediately became conscious. She ran to them and said "Shall we go back to the room?" Maya: yup!!! The three girls went back to the classroom while chatting about the tons of work they have to finish and how it continuously increase. While chatting, Kelly was slightly out of her focus thinking about Mateo and once more about his good-looking face. After a few hours of stressful classes, it's time for the last period of the day. It's currently 4:50 and time for their Structural and statistical subject. the discussion was long and difficult to understand, everyone was busy keeping up with what the teacher was saying and taking lectures. Before the class ended, the teacher announced that there would be an upcoming big project for their subject, this project was said to be the last project of the semester. Teacher: "Foy your last project for this semester, two subjects will be collaborating. You, students, are assigned to create a miniature model of a city inspired by a famous location in any country. The output must be made of recycled materials only as it was the biggest part of the criteria. Each class will feature every design of the students and will be judged. The winner will receive a reward." The students were shocked. A vacation is coming up, and making the miniature map will consume their vacation. Teacher: "Good luck on your project students and have a wonderful vacation" Kelly looked at the time and thought " Well, goodbye sleep, rest, and vacation. This is just great" To be Continued...
