Secrets Come Out Of The Box

Sevag’s pov

I opened my eyes in my room, lying in my bed next to Paty the “horny man’s slayer”.

The girl next to me, killed me last night, she gave me  the most beautiful pleasure, she taught me new things, and I had to thank her. But I had no time, I needed to go find my friends. So I ordered a royal breakfast, new cloths,  pink roses and a note:-“ hello beautiful, Last night was so amazing. I will never forget it in my life. But I am sorry I have to go now, without saying a goodbye. Here are some cloths for you, and the breakfast is ready for you, ohh and these pink flowers are for your pink c**t. You were delicious.”

I left the room. 

I was in the lobby and my friends were already waiting for me.

Maha:-“where have you been?”

Fady:-“ I guess last night he woohooo…,right?”

All laughed including me.

Sevag:-“man it was incredible, she was, woah, my God.”

We all laughed again. 

We got in the mini van and we went to “Admission Madame Tussauds Berlin”.

It was a great place, we enjoyed all together, laughed and had fun. We had lunch in one of the most beautiful restaurants, Loreley Beer Garden. Delicious food. 

It was around 8:00pm in the evening when I reached home. 

I was tired but I was happy, and I really missed Anna.

I had to come back to normal life. 

Forget about Paty. Awesome Paty.

Just concentrate to your lessons and your future. And…

“Hovig, tomorrow I will be home early, we will continue ok?”

Hovig:-“ok son.”

I couldn’t play with Anna she was sleeping already, I only kissed her and went to my room. I took a shower, imagining Paty, i tried to touch myself but I didn’t, I didn’t want to ruin the magic she did to me. Then I went into my bed and while watching tv I slept.

The following day was a usual day, uni friends lunch and back home.

Hovig was already waiting for me in the study room, with files all around him he was dug into the papers. “Come in.”:-he said, “…and close the door behind you. I guess you had enough fun, and now it’s time to be serious and its time to work hard. Right?”

Sevag:-“ yes. Right.”, but I couldn’t keep my mouth shut, “Hovig…”, he looked at me as if he was asking “what’s the matter?” I continued:-“she was amazing. I can not forget her.” He smirked and then laughed. 

Hovig:-“they are all amazing. Did you have fun?”

Sevag:-“ she killed me, she was perfect.”

Hovig:-“good, its good you enjoyed. Just forget about her now.”

And I waited for him to finish his work. 

Mia brought some coffee and cake and left the room. 

Hovig:-“ let me continue the story.”

Sevag:-“yes, the last thing you told me was,  you were in jail instead of my dad, and you became close friends with my dad, so what happened?”

Hovig:-“ yes, I don’t know why, but your father wanted our close friendship to be a secret. I obeyed for sure. After all I owed him. Your father took care of that girl for years, her name is Kayane…”

Sevag:-“What? Are you joking me? Are you serious? You’re talking about my mother? “

Hovig:-“ yes son, your father bought your mother on a gambling table from her own biological father. He took care of her, he always protected her. She lived in the mansion with your father and Mr. Zadigian, I lived there too with my sister Garine, but meanwhile, your father fell in love with Kayane. Your mother was so innocent and fragile, a naïve girl. When I went out of jail, my sister Garine told me about everything happened when I was absent, plus she told me about Kayane’s love for your father. I didn’t mention anything to your father for sure, but when your father told me that he loves Kayane and wants to express his feelings but he wasn’t sure if she would accept, I supported him. And they got married. She was flying of happiness. She got her freedom and she was being lived finally. But there was someone who was watching all this happiness from a side, jealousy. No one knew about mr.Zadigian’s love towards your mother. Although he loved your mother madly, he never did any wrong towards your parents, he always respected them both. Until he met Liana, his wife. Everybody hated her. But we all respected her for being mr. Zadigian’s wife. 

As you know Liana is a weird woman, she is always jealous, assertive, egotistical, pretentious and proud.

She always wanted everything to herself, she always wanted to be the number one, but she wasn’t. Everyone even the guards loved your mother,  she was helpful, humble, but at the same time courageous, your mom was very loyal to your father and she loved him so much.

One day your father invited his most trustworthy men and his friends with their wives and fiancées, to a fabulous dinner. At first we didn’t know what the dinner was for, but when your father stood up and invited your mom next to him, and he raised his glass and cheered by saying:-“We are expecting a child.”

Everyone cheered and was happy. We congratulated them both hugging and kissing them, wishing the best for them both. 

Yes son! Your mother was pregnant with you.   

Everything was perfect, the life, the business, the friendships, just everything was perfectly perfect.

Until the wedding day, mr. Zadigian’s wedding with Liana. 

Before the ceremony begin, mr. Zadigian was already drunk, and he was thoughtful, but nobody knew why. When your father went to talk to him, I was waiting outside the room and heard everything. 

I have told you that your father and I were so close, but mr. Zadigian didn’t know about this, he thought I was only a simple guard and knew nothing about any secrets. 

Kevork:-“ Hagop(mr. Zadigian)! Whats wrong with you?”

Hagop:-“nothing, just leave me alone.”

Kevork:-“ brother, you can tell me anything, you know that.”

Hagop:-“ Kevo, just leave me alone, please.”

Kevork:-“ Brother you’re not ok, whats wrong with you?”

Hagop:-“ you sure you wanna know?”

Kevork:-“yes sure, or else how may I help you to get out of this situation.”

Hagop:-“ therefore, listen to me carefully BROTHER!”

I put my ear to the door to hear them better, while guarding with my eyes.

Kevork:-“ yes brother tell me.”

Hagop:-“ from the first day, that Kayane arrived, I’m keeping these to myself, never opened myself to any one.”

Kevork:-“what has to do this with Kayane? Did I act indifferent?”

Hagop:-“this has many things to do with Kayane. Man, I loved her.”

I heard nothing. The room was silent. Then he continued.

Hagop:-“what? Say something!”

Kevork:-“…. I … I … no, continue.”

Hagop:-“ with pleasure, I fell in love with her as you fell in love with her too, but she chose you. This doesn’t mean that she knows about my feelings towards her, but watching you both love each other and watching the live grow stronger between you, has killed me everyday. Remember the day you gave the news about the baby? You were so happy, you were flying of happiness, but I was dying inside, even though Liana was next to me, I watched Kayane with amazement. She was looking at you admiringly. I died once again. Now… do you understand whats wrong with me? I am getting married to someone I don’t love, because, the love of my life is married to my brother, because the live of my life is pregnant and is about to give birth. This is why you came in here now asking “whats wrong with you brother?!” You got that! But I respect you both. You are my brother and she is my everything but belongs to you.”

And mr. Zadigian was silent, I heard nothing for few seconds but then I heard a punch. I immediately changed my corner and moved near the window, far from the room,  as if I was smoking my cigarette, your father stormed out in sweat and anger. I didn’t move, I didn’t follow him. I saw mr. Zadigian left the room too. The corridor was empty, no one saw me, but I heard everything. Few seconds later the other door was opened and I saw Liana in her white gown talking to someone on her phone, she didn’t notice me, I don’t know who was the person on the other end of the line, but I heard she said:-“ yes, I am sure, he is in love with Kayane... I heard him with my very own ears… no, no not now, I will let you know when and how… you wait for my sign… I said you wait for my command.”

I was shocked.
