My thoughts roamed freely as I watched Kaedyr's departing figure. I didn’t expect him to show up while I was out here mourning everything I’d just lost, all thanks to him.
But for him to walk away like that without so much as a word, when all these were his fault.
I know I have myself to blame for the choices I made, but he wasn’t blameless either. He was the reason I was in this predicament. I know now that he had gotten himself wounded on purpose to get my attention back then.
Everything that was happening now was a result of his meticulous plan to capture my people. Was it such a sin that I had taken an interest in a man?
Maybe it was, but must I suffer the consequences alone?
