Episode 1: SOLD TO DEVIL
I was in my room when I heard some noise, then a gunshot. I ran out and peeked from the top of the stairs. Below, I saw my father, Mr. Forrest, clutching a man's legs and begging for mercy. The man was pointing a gun at him. "Mr. Blackwood, please give me more time. I promise I will return every penny of my loan," my father said. The man laughed. It was a laugh I will never forget. That day I realized that not every demon has horns. Then, suddenly, he looked up at me. My heart dropped. He was handsome, tall, sharp-featured, with a well-built body. I couldn't help but stare at him for a second. He smirked, and I looked away. "Who is she?" he asked in his deep, cold voice. "She is my daughter, Mr. Blackwood," my father replied. My stepmom, who had been kneeling beside the couch, spoke up. "Mr. Blackwood, you can take her until we pay your loan." My eyes widened. I looked at her, then at my father, hoping he would say something. Anything. But he said nothing. My mother passed away when I was a child. My father married Miss Freya, who had been his secretary. I was broken after that. My stepmom made me do everything and beat me if I disobeyed. And my father? He just watched and do nothing. I cry every night but none of them had a little mercy on me.My father ignored my tears like I am not his daughter like my tears doesn't matter for him. I knew she hated me, but this much? She was ready to sell me to someone this dangerous. "My Mr. Blackwood, we don't have a single penny, so I am giving you my lovely daughter until we pay," my stepmom said again. My father kept his head down, saying nothing. Mr. Blackwood looked at me. A smirk played on his lips. "Okay. Come here. Umm, what's her name?" My stepmom stood up. "Her name is Diana. She will never disobey you, Mr. Blackwood." She rushed to me and pushed me toward him. "Come, let's go, Miss Forrest," he said. My stepmom came forward and hugged me tightly, then whispered in my ear, "Don't disobey him. Don't mess with him. If he does anything to us because of some stupid action of yours, remember: your little brother and your sweet aunt will face the consequences. Understood?" She let me go. I looked at her, helpless. My little brother and my aunt were the only people who loved me. I didn't want anything to happen to them because of me. I walked to Mr. Blackwood. He picked me up. His grip was iron, not warm. Like he was picking up an object he'd bought. Like I wasn't a person. "I can walk, Mr. Blackwood. Put me down," I said, anger flashing in my eyes. He ignored my protest, carried me to his black car, and set me down inside. He slid in beside me. I scooted away. "Little Forrest, run from me as much as you want. This devil loves to chase." My eyes filled with tears as I glared at him. "Cry as much as you want. These tears don't affect this devil, Snow White. Understood?" I turned my face toward the window, angry and helpless. Tears slipped down my cheeks. I missed my mom. I looked at him. "I will not break, Mr. Blackwood. The devil can try." He studied me. "Oh, so Little Forrest has some courage." He leaned close and whispered, "Let's see what happens next, Snow White." My heart was racing, but I'm not a person who gives up. "I've been alone since childhood, and that made me strong. I have tears in my eyes, but tears aren't a sign of weakness," I said, my voice firm. "Good to know. You see, devils love to play with people like you, Snow White. And one more thing: devils don't have hearts, so don't expect mercy." He smiled. The kind of smile everyone feared. I turned my face away.
