Honey colored eyes stared into the sky as she stared at the full moon. The white orb shining against the dark midnight sky surrounded by thousands of stars. Despite not being a fan of the town she resided in, she couldn't dislike the openness about it. The sleepy town surrounded by the thick forest and clear, crisp air away from the city, it was perfect for her even if the town was filled with- A howl broke through the silent field and her eyes snapped downward from the huge boulder she was perched on as a small group of wolves broke into the clearing. The group of huge beasts snapped at each other playfully as they raced across the grass and through the tree line again, leaving her to her thoughts. Sucking her teeth lightly, she put her book into her satchel and stood up. As much as she enjoyed the full moon herself, she didn't enjoy the company it gave. "Maybe you're just jealous that no one invites you to join? If you just show them you're like them, it's be different.'' a smooth voice filled her head. The girl shook her head, red curls swishing back and forth. "I did, remember? I never hid myself and you know that. It's not my fault everyone likes to show off every second they get.'' With that, she leaped off the boulder, her stomach flipping as she fell from the great height and landed on the balls of her feet with a silent crunch of the grass before jumping forward towards the tree line. She saw above the trees at the twinkling lights of the town before falling onto a branch. Hopping from branch to branch, she continued until she came to a backyard. Perching on a branch, she watched as a couple sitting together on the patio furniture, the two speaking to each other in a loving tone. She smiled as she launched off the branch and landed next to the woman, startling her enough that she spilt some of the wine she held. "Bambina! What did I say about doing that!'' The woman screeched, her accent thick as she straightened up to see the damage. The man next to her laughed as he waved his hand, the red liquid suddenly gone. "Sorry, Mama. It was too good of a chance to pass up." The red head said as she kissed the tan woman's cheek before kissing the man's cheek. "Hi papa!'' "Hello, Novah. How was your walk?'' He asked as he pulled the girl's mother back to him, running his hand through the thick black hair. The woman melted in as she held out her arms, causing Novah to rush forward to join. "It was nice until the pack started their usual rowdiness. Did you guys enjoy your date?'' The woman hummed as she kissed Novah's head. "Your papa decided to cook and it was, eh interesting.'' Noavh snorted as she stared at her dad, Artem Hale was many things, a loving husband, doting father, powerful Druid but a cook was not one of them. Her father shrugged. "I thought it's be romantic, but as usual your mother saved the day.'' he said, kissing the Italian woman's head. Giulia smiled, leaning up as she stood, pulling the both of them up with her strengths. "Now that Novah's here, let's go get dessert! I want a blueberry muffin.'' Novah stared at her mother. "Uh mom, that's not- nevermind.'' Sticking her tongue at her daughter, trio left the house and drove to the local diner. Novah winced as she saw how packed it was and wanted to leave but as soon as her mother pulled her in and the delicious scent of food filled her senses, she changed her mind. Despite the occupancy, the waitress had them seated fairly quick. Novah grabbed the menu and stared at all the options, despite getting the same thing every time. Once they agreed on what to get, they placed their order and Novah stared out the window as her parents spoke to each other. Zoning out, she came face to face with herself. Well, her demon self. Surrounding them were vas amount of greenery and mist. Something her demon created years ago to comfort her younger self and it been like that ever since. "Well, what a surprise! What brings you to my lovely abode?'' Aoife said, her pure, liquid gold eyes staring at her as she laid back across the grassy hill. Novah laid next to her. "Ma and Papa are being lovey dovey.'' The red head simply stated. "Plus food takes awhile to cook.'' Aoife placed a hand on her chest as she teased, feigning offense. "Oh, I see. I'm just a means of passing time for you, huh?'' Novah made a face of contemplating before nodding. "Yeah, pretty much.'' The demon scoffed as she nudged the teen before laying back down. "It's nice though. It's not the same as when we speak through our link. It can get lonely in here.'' Novah frowns before turning on her side. "You know you can come out. Just don't be doing stupid stuff that'll make my life a hassle.'' Gold eye's met Honey. "Please, you know I'm all hassle. Plus with Ms. Shields pact, you know I'll be causing nothing but havoc.'' "That's true.'' Aoife then sat up as she stared before giving Novah a smirk. Before the redhead could ask, she was shoved out of her mind. Gasping she stared at her parents, who stared back in shock. Straightening up, she coughed to distract the ever growing blush forming on her cheek. "Sorry I was speaking to Aoife.'' Giulia snorted as she pushed a plate of food over. "I swear, she's the more aware of the two of you, and she's you!'' Novah could feel Aoife laughing and glared at her food as she grabbed it. Taking a bite of her sandwich, she felt better once the delicious flavoring touched her taste buds. "It amazes me how much food impacts you. I swear someone could kidnap you with food and you'd go along with it.'' Aoife teased. Novah ignored her in favor of taking another bite of her food. Her eyes shot up as the door hit the bell and a group came in, whooping and hollering as they settled next to theirs. Honey met Green and for a moment before they glared at her in annoyance. Novah rolled her eyes before turning to her parents as they questioned about school before the table next to them erupted in loud obnoxious laughter. "That green eyed girl keeps staring at you. Should I do something?'' Aoife said, annoyance clear in her tone. Novah rolled her eyes as she finished up her sandwich. "Who cares, if she has a problem with me, she can take a number.'' She muttered to Aoife. Giulia tilted her head before lecturing her. "Bambina, cosa ho detto sul parlare con te stesso. It makes you look insane.'' Novah was sure if her eyes had muscles, they'd be buff at the amount of eyerolls she's done. Of course she should have known better than to do so in front of her mother as the black haired woman scoffed and leaned over, smacking the redhead on the head. Novah leaned away as she smiled. "Ok, Ok! Can we go? I'm full.'' She asked, a bit loudly as the group across from them grew louder. Artem nodded as he stepped out the booth and held his hand out to Giulia. Her mother took his hand as she gave him a loving smile and they walked hand in hand to the register to pay. Novah smiled before stepping out the booth and walked, only to fall flat on her face as she tripped over a foot. "Oops, my bad.'' A mock filled voice called out as more laughter filled the diner. Ignoring the group, she kept her head down as she walked out the diner. On her way out, she knocked into someone and the pleasant smell of Black cloves and cinnamon filled her senses but she was too annoyed to think about it. Muttering an apology, she stalked towards the car and jumped in. ''Just a few more months.'' She whispers to herself.
