The Rise of the Female Alpha <3

BANG,BANG,BANG!!..........My eyes flew open to the deafing sound of someone banging on the metal door. The sun hadn't even begun to shine through the tiny window yet. "Wake up little wolf" he said lowly. His voice sounded sinister, sending chills down my spine. My body ached but I knew if I didn't hurry he would drag me out. I slowly pulled myself from the small cot lying on the cold concrete floor. "HURRY UP!" I jumped as he screamed for me. I looked up to see him standing in the now open door frame staring at me harshly. This room they have kept me in (if you can even call it that) is extremely small. I would call it a cell. It's an 8x8 concrete room with a tiny window so high on the wall I can't even see out of it. I can only see the sun shining through. One day I'll see the world again. I walked slowly toward the broad man standing in the doorway. I've come to know him, the beta of the Wondering Pines Pack whose name i have discovered is Aden. We walked down the demly lite hallway. Other cells line the hall. I can hear the whimpers of other girls who are in their cells. I've been here since i was 2. I don't remember much about my parents, just that my mom would read me a beautiful book every night at bedtime. I'll never forget her soothing voice as she read to me "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, As long as Im living, My baby you'll be." I sadly don't remember my father at all. Since I have been here, I have been tutored every day so I don't become a "dumb little wolf" as Aden says. But the tutoring stopped a few months ago and, since then, I have been made to clean and work within the pack house. I have been here for almost 16 years. My birthday is a week away and cant come fast enough. I'll be turning 18 and at that point, I'll get my wolf and hopefully be able to escape this place. Even though I'm not beaten and tortured here, I still am not able to have any contact with Beta Aden and Emily. I need more and my mind and body have grown anxious to leave these confinements. I want to find my mate and be able to have the fairy tale happy ever after. Little did I know things were about to change....... Aden leads me out of the hall and we walk through a tiny corridor that leads to a hidden door that opens up to the pack house kitchen. "You will be working with Emily today, make sure to have breakfast ready before the rest of the pack gets here." Aden says as he shoves me into the kitchen. As he's walking away, he stops and looks over his shoulder and says "dont be seen by anyone other than Emily, little Wolf." And he winks at me and turns and walks away. For some reason, I'm not allowed to be seen by anyone except the rare occasion like today where im made to work with Emily. "Bree! Good morning!" Emily nearly tackles me with a hug. "Good morning Emily." I say shyly. " Would you like some coffee or water and a granola bar? You need to eat something, we have a lot we have to do today and who knows if they will let you eat until dinner tonight." I nod my head and give her a small smile. "water and the granola bar will be fine." Emily is the head omega and she is the only other person i have contact with other than beta Aden. She loves to talk and tell me all the gossip and drama going on in the pack. Like how gamma Lynard's mate cheated on him with some "low life omega". Emily is in her early 30's and has beautiful long blond hair and bright blue eyes. She has a fuller figure and stands at about 4'9. But don't let her size fool you, she can be fierce. I quickly eat the granola bar and drink the water. Emily gives me an extra granola bar for later and we begin getting breakfast ready for the pack. I scrambled eggs an Emily fried some bacon while the biscuits baked in the oven. Once that is done, I start on a white gravy using the bacon grease. My biscuits and gravy have been a pack favorite for years and no one even knows it's me that makes them. While I'm finishing the gravy, Emily starts to take the food out to the dining room and places it on the table so that it's ready for the pack members. The Wondering Pines pack is the 2nd largest and most powerful pack in the United States. I haven't been able to see the packlands, heck I have barely seen the inside of the packhouse. Emily and I finish breakfast and clean up after everyone and then make our way to the omega stairs. The pack house is huge and has 5 floors. The packhouse is beautiful, with marble floors and giant chandeliers throughout. I don't know how the outside of the pack house looks, but i do know that on the inside it is breathtaking. The front door is a large solid oak double door with a beautiful giant semi-circled window above it. Then you are greeted by an Imperial staircase. Also known as a double staircase. Standing under the staircase is an elevator, but omegas are not allowed to use it. I'm not really sure what my rank is. I don't think anyone does. I guess i will find out when I turn 18 on my birthday this weekend. See, when we turn 18, we are able to start communicating with our wolves and find our mates. Also, we are able to determine what rank a wolf is once the first shift is completed. That reminds me, i need to ask Beta Aden if I will be able to complete my first shift this weekend. "Come on Bree", Emily calls to me, pulling me from my thoughts. Once, we are on the omega staircase, which is hidden from the rest of the house but has access to all the floors, with the entrance being in the kitchen. As we are walking up the staircase, Emily suddenly stops and turns to me. "We are going to be cleaning the Alpha's floor today. His son, the future Alpha, will be having his 20th birthday this weekend and he will be coming back from Alpha training." I look at her worried. I'm supposed to be unseen and if anyone were to see me I would be punished. What if the Luna sees me or the Alpha? Why ardent the other omegas cleaning his floor? As if she knew i was getting stressed and starting to have a panic attack. Emily gently places her hand on my shoulder and softly uses her other hand to lift my head so my eyes meet hers. "Bree, it's okay. The Alpha and Luna ardent here. They went to see future Alpha Caleb at Alpha training and to help him pack and return home. There's no need to worry. They won't be home until tomorrow morning. The reason no one else is cleaning is because they are all busy prepping for the big party this weekend for Caleb. All the surrounding packs will be here. " I release a breath I didn't know i was holding and Emily smiles and giggles as she removes her hands and turns to continue up the stairs. Oh she thinks she's funny? Huh, ill get her back for that. I gave a silly, mischievous grin and followed behind her. We have been cleaning Alpha's floor for 4 hours. The Alpha's floor is the most extravagant thing I have ever seen. There's a large kitchen with marble counters and all brand new stainless steel appliances. There's a private movie room and a seating area with two leather couches facing each other and divided by a oak coffee table. We are finishing up the Alphas floor and Emily asks me to clean the Alpha's bathroom while she cleans his bedroom. I followed Emily into the dimly lit bedroom. The Alpha's bedroom has hardwood floors and dark walls with a bear skin rug in the middle. This room gives me the creeps if I'm being honest. I quickly navigated my way to the en suite bathroom. As I walk in, I stop immediately as soon as i look into the oversized mirror on the far wall. I slowly walked forward, studying myself. I have briefly seen myself in a passing mirror, but i have never really studied myself. I'm kind of short, standing 5 feet 4 inches tall. I have long black hair that falls to my waist and emerald green eyes that almost seem to glow, along with my natural bronze complexion. I'm wearing old jeans that are way too big and have holes throughout. Accompanied by a stained-up T-shirt that looks like it has been dragged through the mud. Which it probably has considering it was the pack members' old clothes they were throwing out. I quickly get to work and clean the bathroom and once I'm done, I head out to the bedroom where Emily is almost done cleaning. Once she's done, we head back to the stairs to go prep for dinner. As we are walking down the stairs, Emily once again stops suddenly and turns to me with not just worry but fear in her eyes. I get a nervous feeling in the pit of my stomach, whatever she has to say is probably not going to be good. "You're scaring me, Emily. What is it?" "Bree, I have to tell you something. Once I do, you need to escape...."
