Emmett gave a head shake. "No, Cody, not'someone. a few things Animals. Livestock. She is a real, live woman. Cody said, "And what wonderful flesh, too." Emmett stared at Cody as he stood up. Get a grip, dude. For us, this is not a wish that has come true. A woman was involved in some sort of accident. She is unknown to us, as is her background. Our obligation, and only one, is to make the best effort possible in a dire circumstance. Just that. Nothing further. Do you get what I'm saying? Cody threw his glass to the floor. "Emmett, don't attempt to be my father." This song and dance were well-known to Bryant. Emmett and Cody rarely fought, but when they did, it might have been the start of World War Three since they were responding to challenges from opposing factions. Like him, there is little doubt that their d***s were reacting to the woman in their parents' bedroom, leading to a mental conflict—a virtual struggle between emotion and reason. Not what they now required. He didn't typically put himself in their way, but he knew he had to. Are we not getting ahead of ourselves, guys? “Hello.” He was surprised by a tiny, adorable voice coming from the corridor. The most alluring vision he had ever seen caught his attention as he turned around. She was covered by the quilt Emmett had laid over her, her bare feet poking out from under the covering. But he wasn't paying attention to her little fingers, pale complexion, or tiny feet. As alluring as those were, he couldn't stop gazing into her eyes because they were wide, full of lashes, and the color of whiskey. * * * * Her heart was beating quickly, and her head was hammering. Was this a nightmare of any sort? She asked the three men, "Where am I?" They all appeared to have just left the set of a Western film. She felt a wave of terror as they hastened to her side. She took a step back. In a cabin close to Destiny, Colorado, you are. Are you alright? One who appeared to be the oldest questioned. She tried to remember who he was to her as she closed her eyes. She experienced nothing but nothingness. She had no ideas. Zippo. He was an odd man with dark hair and a cleft chin. Very attractive, yeah, but foreign. He and the other two males were completely forgotten by her. “No.” She was in distress. There was no logic. She repeatedly coughed as she struggled to breathe. The tallest of the three remarked, wrapping his arm around her waist, "Let's get her back to bed." Her attention was drawn by the intensity of large brown eyes. She was transfixed by his long lash blinks. The only way to characterize such a man was as beautiful but tough. His flawless lips were swaying. Had he made another statement? “Wait. Please.” He squeezed her more firmly. She didn't know what to do, but the extra support had to be appreciated given how unsteady her legs were. Even more terrible than the pain in her body, which appeared to be emanating from all directions, was the need to clear her thoughts and understand what was occurring. What's your name, guys? The man holding her in the mirror said, "We're your rescuers, love." He extended his hands to her as he stood in front of her. "You two are twins or I'm seeing double," the speaker said. Beautiful, as well as intelligent. You're a very complete bundle, mystic woman. We are twins, yes. Bryant is the gloomy, reserved person holding you; I'm Cody Stone. Emmett, our older brother, is the man on your right. Instead of waiting for her to take hold of his hands, Cody clasped his strong, masculine fingers in hers. Who are you, exactly? What an easy question, one that any rational individual ought to be able to respond to without giving it a second thought. She started to tell him when she suddenly realized she was at a loss for words. She slammed her lips together and shut her eyes. On the tip of her tongue, she had it. I am… When she opened her eyes, all of the room's color abruptly faded into a grayness and her vision became blurry. A wave of iciness raced through her, making her body cold. Take her," Cody commanded. She is unconscious. * * * * When she coughed, the weight left her body. A momentary peace followed, but as her consciousness regained control, the serenity swiftly vanished, leaving only pain and fear behind. She is back with us, now. She was still unaccustomed to the voice, which came from Cody, a cowboy. She struggled to open her eyes. “Yes. I am up. How long did I stay out? "No more than 60 seconds." a different stranger. Why was she interacting with strangers? She cast a quick peek towards the speaker, who was standing on Cody's opposite right side of the bed. E-someone was his name. Emmett. There it was. Emmett had a worried look on his face. Was she worried about it? I want to sit up. Oddly, returning to the bed she had just left made her feel more secure. It was obvious that these three had brought her back while she was gone. She couldn't be certain, but it appeared that they weren't trying to hurt her. With a total recollection that was currently less than thirty minutes long, she was unable to be certain of anything. Bryant, Cody's twin, moved her cushion so she could raise herself a little. That's better. He removed a hair strand from her eyes by brushing it. “Much. I'm grateful. "Miss, no need to chat. Rest. Later, we can work all of this out. Cody gave her a smile. She winced at the ache near the top of her head. She attempted to touch the source but was stopped by Emmett's powerful yet kind hand. Best to avoid doing it. This man came across as very serious and confident. He was obviously used to being in charge. "I'm worried that it might start bleeding again because it's right below your hairline." “Okay.” The bottom strands of her hair were located by her fingertips. They had a lot of dried blood. "Had I a collision?" Emmett gave a nod. What sort of accident was it? Her hair needed to be cleaned up, but she would have to wait till she knew more before taking a bath. Her headache also stopped. Emmett responded, "I believe a car accident, although I didn't see a car." "Just as this storm was starting, I found you slouched on the road by our property border." 'Why here? She asked, sincerely trying to make sense of things but finding it impossible, "Why not a hospital?" "I chose to bring you to our cabin rather than attempting to get you to the clinic in Destiny." Emmett appeared decent. "Given that the roads were already impassable, it's the best option." She groaned. What sort of bizarre dream was she experiencing? "Do you understand why you traveled so far to get here? Other than ranches, hardly much exists in this area. She tried to drive the recollection into her head by closing her eyes. Nothing. Nada. "I can't recall anything that happened before I woke up in this bed. Even my name escapes me now. She could feel her anxiety starting to grow. She inhaled deeply to relax herself and winced as she felt agony in her chest. Her cheek was caressed by Bryant's hand. "That was most likely caused by an airbag deploying. That's our hunch, at least. There don't seem to be any fractured bones on you. "Did I strike anyone? Is anybody else injured? Emmett gave a shrug. "I simply found you," I said. The room and her were both shaken by a thunderclap. "How long has the storm been going on?" "It hasn't seemed to stop for almost an hour." Cody said, "We still need to get you into town to see the doctor as soon as we can. The storm has flooded out all the roads." "We must have you examined." "Why don't you just call for assistance?" She didn't believe she required medical attention, but perhaps the cops might assist her in locating her vehicle. Then perhaps she would be able to identify herself and find her ID. This far up the mountain, neither phone nor internet service is available. We're stranded here for some time. Emmett appeared to be anxious about the circumstance. Cody made his way to the door. "Until the rain stops, we'll just have to get by. Would you like some tea, my love? Her mouth had a cottony sensation. "Yes, please. I'd love some." He enquired, "How do you like it?" She was unable to respond to a further straightforward inquiry because her memory was still lost. "I'm not certain," Together, we'll learn what you enjoy and don't like. Emmett's voice was soft and consoling, but yet profound. Make her three cups, please. One simple. one sweetened. one that has cream.
