Chapter 2

Bro, you haven't gone to bed yet, he cried down the narrow corridor that connected their "playroom" and two bedrooms on either side. At the end of the corridor stood the lone bathroom in the cabin. When Emmett emerged from the restroom, he made the "be quiet" gesture by putting his index finger to his lips. “Why? You have visitors back there?" He certainly hoped so. He and his brothers hadn't brought a woman up here in a while. Long enough. “Shhh. Emmett whispered, "There's a woman back there. "She has a wound. I discovered her on a highway. In Cody's mind, a zillion questions were racing. She is unknown. He replied, "I don't have a clue. Did you look for an ID? Bryant enquired. “None. Only the clothing on her back were in decent condition. Although I didn't see her automobile when I found her, it appears that she was involved in some sort of accident. Did you inquire about her identity? Cody pondered how someone could get so lost to get up on the ranch because he was aware of how far off the beaten track it was. "Since I found her, she has remained outside. The head took a bad blow. No fever, as far as I can determine, and no broken bones, replied his oldest sibling. "I did my best to remove the dirt. I then put her to sleep. Which bedroom, he inquired? Mom and dad's room, Emmett replied. That made sense. All of them continued to follow the same habits from long before, before the accident, even after all these years. The cabin had a special meaning for them all, almost a hallowed nature, in contrast to the house in the valley where Emmett had claimed their parents' master suite. Their family had spent time there. More than anywhere else on the earth, they had treasured being together. Cody cautiously moved along the hallway, trying to minimize floor noise. He flung open the door and looked inside. The room was softly lit by the lamp on their parents' desk. Its cozy lighting illuminated a stunning woman in bed. The white cushion, which had previously been soiled with some of her dried blood, was covered in her dark auburn hair. Although the wound on her forehead was at least three inches long, it had no effect whatsoever on her flawless features. She was "stunning," a term he had never used before, and he knew it. She was covered by the thick quilt that their mother's distant relative had given to her as a wedding present. Her skin had a glossy sheen and a slender neck, which added to the perfection his eyes were taking in. His brother hadn't taken off the woman's clothes to examine the woman's wounds more closely, though it might have been preferable. Emmett is Emmett. doing the right thing at all times. He presumably didn't want her to awaken naked in a house full of unfamiliar males. A bowl of water and the cloth his brother must have used to bathe her were on the nightstand next to her. She was clearly endowed in the way he liked it very much as her breasts rubbed up against the covers while she was still wearing clothing. Cody had always been drawn to the mouthwatering mounds of a woman's upper half, and this sweet lady's upper half was drool-worthy. Bryant was definitely a leg man, and Emmett was a die-hard butt man, but both he and his brothers enjoyed the entire feminine package and mystique. When he caught sight of this unidentified woman, his c**k tensed. But there was also something else, another emotion, something strong, something new, coupled with the lust she had sparked in him. He subdued his lust and returned to the area where he had left his brothers. "Holy Christ, Emmett, she's a knockout." Cody, I recognize that look. You're undoubtedly the most romantic dude I've ever met, I swear. Emmett gave a head shake. She's not just some random girl we met at the Destiny club. She is not even local. Best to remember that. Maybe, but I like to take chances. Bryant raised an eyebrow. A knockout, you say? He said to his twin, "See for yourself. Emmett unlocked the booze cupboard as Bryant walked down the corridor. I've just put her to sleep. I require some internal fire. How are you doing? Of course. Have you attempted waking her up? "When I found her, she was murmuring something, but she was never fully awake. Since then, I haven't been able to obtain a response from her. Whatever had occurred had greatly taxed her. She must visit a doctor. Cody realized there was no chance of getting her to Doc and Destiny while listening to the onslaught outside. Nickel Ridge must be destroyed. Emmett nodded in agreement with him, apparently having the same thought. Three glasses were brought out, and the first one, which was intended for him, had ice cubes in it. Another time, he added water by approximately a third of the way up. With the exception of the Maker's Mark whiskey, which he also added to the other cups, he left the last unfilled. Cody, here you go. Emmett gave him the glass in its purest form. After inspecting the woman, Bryant exclaimed, "f**k, she's got to be some kind of model." "I've never in my life seen a more lovely creature." Emmett handed his twin the glass with the extra water and stated, "This is for you. “Thanks. Oh my God, I need it. They were reminded of the storm lingering outside by a thunderous thunderclap that shook the cottage. Emmett responded, "We all do. Cody nodded as he raised his glass in agreement. Greetings, brothers. Do you have to be so dramatic all the time, God? Bryant enquired. “I do. Keep quiet and pay attention. There was an emptiness in his and his brothers' lives despite the fact that they had never spoken it. He thought they shared it. Even though their bond was strong, they had suffered a lot of loss as a result of the passing of their parents. They had been brothers through thick and thin, good and bad—and boy, had there been a lot of bad. I pray that with our care, the woman in our cabin will totally recover. Emmett remarked, "That's a terrific place to end a good toast." May she fall madly in love with us, and may she." Cody grinned as he sipped from his beverage. Bryant grinned, but even Emmett could not have known his twin as well as he did. Bryant, who was the quietest of the three, seemed to appreciate the notion quite a bit. Emmett gave a head shake. Cody, you ought to have stopped when you were ahead. We must check on her health. We have it as our first focus. His elder brother's tone struck him as being unusual in some way. There was a tinge of desire, according to Cody. He certainly hoped so. He even prayed as such. The chances were extremely minimal with Emmett. Two Chapters After finishing his whiskey, Bryant Stone went to the kitchen to get a new glass. What should we do next? In this weather, there's no way we can get her to Doc. His thoughts were racing, calculating all the possible outcomes that bringing the injured woman to their cabin would have. She was stunning, and Cody had been right. Was she. He had never in his life seen such a specimen. Love at first curve. He would spend days and days kissing those lips. plus more. "After this storm, the road is probably going to be shut." Cody drained the remainder of his drink before approaching him. For at least a week, we might not be able to travel to the town. Don't seem that pleased about it. Emmett took Dad Trevor's chair and sat down. She's injured. Do not overlook that. Not being doctors, we Bryant filled his glass and nodded. You know, he's right. She may have had a concussion. Do you both know how to handle that? His brothers appeared bewildered. First up was Emmett. Should we employ ice? He kept his worry in check and added, "I remember something about the necessity to keep them awake. "I was unable to awaken her earlier. Do we need to try again? Emmett's voice was suddenly filled with panic. "Perhaps we ought to get her in the tub and clean her up." Cody's eyes appeared to be filled with both passion and worry at the notion. Bryant was not to blame. "We'll learn more about her wounds, and she might wake up as a result," Emmett was not a man who easily became agitated. When they were all teenagers and his oldest brother had broken both of his legs after falling over a cliff, Emmett had maintained his composure and saved the day. Cody definitely not. Therefore, it looked incredibly out of character for him to see Emmett upset over a stranger. "We ought to attempt to awaken her first. If we can't, one of us needs to try to drive to the gas station's pay phone down the road. Doc can at least offer us some guidance on how to treat her since he won't be able to make it up here. Emmett got up from the seat. Bryant gave a nod. “Agreed.” He was not as composed as Emmett and Cody believed, even more so than Emmett, but Bryant knew better. Although he appeared to be made of granite, he always had a turbulent inside. I simply don't want to worsen her situation. Emmett groaned. Before he retired, old Sheriff Grayson asked that one of us complete the EMT training. You realize the sheriff just wanted to control one of us, right? He pulled the bottle away from Cody, who then poured himself some more bourbon. Furthermore, we are skilled at treating wounds and bringing people back to health.
