Meeting My Mum Again

I put my mobile number on the note and she texted me we have arranged to meet in a cafe at 13:00 today and if I said I wasn't nervous I would be lying I don't even know what she looks like anymore and I don't know if she will know its me sitting here. 

I have Darren on speed dial and he is only round the corner if I need to get away quickly and i probably will I have heard she is with one of my ex friends dads or something and had another child with him but then I have heard a lot of different things about her I guess I will just have to ask her myself. 

She see's me and comes straight over to where I am sitting and says "Hello darling how have you been you have changed so much since I last saw you"

"Well that was about 8 years ago remember when you walked out one day and never came back if it wasn't for the guy I am dating now I would still be that dumpy little girl I was when you left but now I have confidence and I am skinny which you never wanted because you wanted everyone to look at you and you wanted me to be the person you wanted but it didn't happen and when you didn't get your own way you just up and left." 

"I am truly sorry about that I never wanted to leave you my plan was always to come back for you but I just never got the chance and your father made it clear you were both better off without me and by the looks of it I think he was right" 

"Are the rumors true about you being with Kristy's dad and having another baby girl with him because she told me I think it was to spite me and you brought her expensive bracelets and other jewelry and now for my 18th you brought me a teddy bear and some toy cars and think that is going to solve everything well it isn't that's stuff you buy a little boy or did you forget I am an 18 year old woman now." 

"I am so sorry and yes the rumors are true but I had a boy not a girl you are my one and only girl but yes I did buy Kristy expensive jewelry but she will never be my baby girl what do I need to do to make it up to you?" 

"Well for a start you can make me feel like you really want me in your life but I am not going to be best pals with Kristy again not after what she did and you can let me meet my little brother I think he has the right to know his other sister not just her oh and you can buy me a better present other then the bear and cars or just give me money towards a new phone because I want the brand new iPhone 10XS which I might add Kristy hasn't got yet so if you want to make it up to me you can buy me that and call it all the birthday's and Christmas's you have missed out on over the last 10 years."
