Chapter 19: Hockey Game/ Practicing Part 2

Onyx's POV

Franklin was getting the puck in the net a lot. I frowned as their points kept going up and ours stayed the same.

"We suck." Taylor groaned.

"Shut up." I said after slapping him on the back of the head.

"Ow." he said pouting.

"My baby doesn't suck, well not when it comes to hockey." I said winking and Taylor looked at me with horror. "I was kidding for now." I said smirking and he covered my mouth.

"Not another word." he said shaking his head and I pouted.

Sadly the other school did win but hey, this was our school's first game.

"W-We lost." Alex said rubbing his eyes when we walking home.

"It's okay baby." I said rubbing his back as Taylor whistled awkwardly. "Taylor." I hissed and then he walked over to Alex.

"It's okay Alex this isn't the last game plus you guys did pretty good." he said smiling.

"We did?" he asked looking up at me and I nodded agreeing with Taylor. "Okay..." he sniffled laying his head on my shoulder.

I nodded getting my key out and unlocked the door to our house well Taylor's and I, I guess. Daddy was asleep on the couch laying on dad while he was on his laptop. Dad looked over to us.

"Hey kids." he said.

"Hey dad." Taylor and I said.

"Hey Mr.Reed." Alex said sniffling.

"You can call me dad you know." Dad said making me and Alex blush.

"U-Uh no thanks sir um well I'm gonna go upstairs with Onyx now." Alex said tugging my hand and dragged me up the stairs.

"Oh, okay kids just don't go too wild where everyone can hear." Dad said and we blushed while Taylor laughed his ass off. When got to my room Alex slammed the door behind us a blushing mess.

"He-He knows?" Alex asked and I nodded blushing more making Alex huff falling face first on my bed.

"It's okay baby." I said laying next to him kissing his head and he blushed looking up at me.

"N-No it's embarrassing." he said and I smiled kissing his nose.

"No its not." I said and pulled him close.

"Onyx." he said in my chest making me shiver.

"Yeah?" I said and he hugged me close.

"I love you." he said and I smiled.

"I love you too." I said and we eventually fell asleep.

The next day we practice hockey a bit, Taylor also joined us since he had nothing better to do. Sadly we met Chad there too. So it was Chad and Taylor VS Alex and I. Of course Alex and I won. I wasn't gonna let Chad get anyway near the net and Taylor kept slipping on the ice.

"I give up!" Taylor said throwing his stick down on the ice and I laughed while he pouted.

"Don't give up." Alex said picking up Taylor's stick handing it to him smiling. After a bit more of practicing we went to my house well minus Chad thank goodness.

Cadee's POV

"Sunday morning." I said smiling and poked Reed. "Wake up." I said straddling him which woke him up instantly.

"Cadee it's too early." he mumbled.

"It's eleven." I tugging his ear making him moan.

"Not today." he said which shocked me.

"What?" I said pulling away.

"I don't feel good." he said turning which made me fall off him onto the floor.

"Don't feel good?" I asked standing up and placed mybhand on his head. "Ouch, you're hot." I said and he turned in the bed groaning making me frown. I went downstairs to make tea and found the boys on the couch watching TV. "No homework?" I asked and Taylor shook his head stuffing his face with a breakfast burrito.

"Winter break." Onyx said cuddling with Alex.

"Oh s**t really?" I said stamming the cabinet dooe then covered my mouth. "I meant shoot.

"Uh huh suuurrre daddy." I heard Taylor say and heard Alex giggle.

Shoot....if Reed's sick we can't go on our winter break trip.

"Um...Taylor can you gk check on your father for me instead of making smart comments and stuffing your face." I said washing a mug out and heard Onyx laugh while Taylor grumbled.

"Yes sir." I heard Taylor say then heard footsteps go upstairs.

I sighed softly making tea thinking of a plan. Tuesday we go on the trip so I could try getting Reed to feel better either today or tomorrow. Reed speant a lot on this trip....and we can't get refunds.

"Daddy you okay?" a voice said and I jumped.

"O-Oh yeah I'm fine." I lied and smiled.

This is life as a parent. Lying about your feelings to your kids everyday. But here we are getting mad everytime they lie.

Onyx crossed his arms looking down at me. Yep, down at me. He got it from his father the whole height gene. Taylor luckily is still my little boy well Onyx is too, just a bit taller than me but not too much, head to head pretty much.

"You seem worried." he said and I shook my head when I heard a loud noise qhich told me the tea was done. Taylor came in the kitchen and licked his lips at the sight of tea.

"Did you check on your dad?" I asked pouring tea in Reed's mug.

"Yeah no maybe no." he said and I slammed the mug down glaring.

"Sor-Sorry dad wouldn't let me in the room." he said and I frowned.

"Typical." I grumbled then kissed Taylor's head. "Sorry sweetie, you can have some tea just don't make a mess." I said and Taylor nodded.

Ugh, Taylor just had to like the nasty things his dad liked. Like coffee but hey the kids are mixed with Reed and I. I went upstairs opening the door to find Reed changing clothes.

"Wha-What are you doing out of bed?!" I yelled startling him.

"I have work." he said.

"Reed your sick." I said and he shrugged walking past me.

I hate when he's sick. He grows back to being cold and tries to keep his distance from everyone but mostly me.

"I-I made you tea." I said as he opened the door.

"I'm fine." he said closing the door behind him and I sighed looking down at the greem substance in his mug.

I didn't like tea but drinking from his cup might make me feel a bit better. I sipped it and sat down on our bed.

"Dad you look like a zombie!" I heard Taylor say.

"That's why daddy looked worried!" I heard Onyx say.

"Ugh you all are giving me a headache." I heard Reed say.

"Mr. Reed I think you should lay down, you can always do most of your work at home." I heard Alex say then I heard a grunt.

Eventually I saw the door swing open. Reed glanced my way then slugged over and dropped dead on my lap.

"I feel terrible." he grumbled and I smiled running my fingers through his hair.

"Your gonna be punished later for treating me the way you did." I said smiling and he grumbled. "I love you." I said.

"I love you too." he said making my heart beat fast.
