As I look out over the city that is my home, I think about the day I've just had. It was so magical, so perfect. Though I don't think I'll ever get used to Everett always spending so much money, there's not one thing that could have been better about our date. This wine is amazing and as I lay on Everett's chest, snuggled in the blankets, I can feel myself getting tipsy. The city lights twinkle below us and being up so high, in Everett's arms, I feel so safe. I think about what Karen had said to me. Could Everett be the one who changes things for me? Could he be my happy ending? Right now I think he could be. We finish our wine, and with the moon high in the sky, the cold night air embraces us. If it wasn't for the wine, I would be shivering right now.
