I can tell that my comment got to him as he sighs and lowers his eyes away from mine. I don't want to be mean or pushy, but it's true. We never really know what we have lost until it is gone. Audrey is amazing and he has no reason to avoid her in this way. Even if Everett refused to come, I would still go. I need more good people in my life and Audrey is a good person. More than that, she too has lived through an abusive relationship and she is someone that can actually give me advice about what I am going through.
