I wait patiently for Aliyah to come. I've been waiting for the past hour now and she still isn't here yet.
Sighing in defeat, I get up, then walk out of the restaurant. I unlock my car door and open it when I hear her voice.
"Finally," I mutter to myself.
I turn around to greet her, then stumble back in shock when I see what's in front of me.
Aliyah is kissing another man, her ex. Wait, I thought they were divorced.
I just shake my head, then clear my throat.
After knowing my presence, she jumps back in horror.
"How are you, Aliyah? Lovely meeting you here even though you were supposed to meet me here an hour ago." I smile at her fakely.
"Abdullah, it's not what it looks--"
"Cut the rubbish, I'm only here to tell you that I regret what we did and what we were about to do. Ruining my marriage and coming back to you after everything you've done. I feel ashamed for what I did, so whatever we had... is over. So, please continue with your ex-husband. May Allah bless you both with happiness."
And that was that. I give her shocked face a smile, then walk to my car.
