Surprise, Surprise

I walked out of Starbucks and got into my car, hesitating to pull out of the parking lot and go to school. I didn't want to face Asia or Natalie because of guilt and anger. I decided to skip school and go to Dave's instead. Ten minutes later I unlocked the door and walked inside, he was asleep in his bed and Kairi was right under him. They were both wild sleepers, I laughed to myself and then had a bright idea to make them breakfast in bed.

I quickly went into the kitchen and washed my hands, then pulled out eggs, pancakes, and sausage links. After about fifteen minutes I was done with everything and before I could bring it into the room Dave walked out. "I knew I smelled something." He yawned.

I smiled lightly, "Goodmorning. I made you and Kairi breakfast."

"Why you ain't in school?" He asked before sitting at the table.

"I just didn't wanna go today." I sighed.

I sat his plate in front of him. "What you doing today?"

He prayed, and then picked up his fork. "My auntie picking up Kairi, and imma probably go to stu' later. Need to finish these tracks."

I poured him some orange juice and began making Kairi plate. "Can I join?"

He shrugged. "The gang gone be there tho'." He mentioned.

"I don't care."

He looked at me. "By the gang I mean everybody from the 'jets. May even be a few hoes."

I scoffed. "A few hoes? Why a few hoes?"

"It's the gang Morg." He laughed. "You gotta deal with that shit."

I placed Kairi plate at the table and a cup of orange juice and woke her up. She was very hesitant to get out of bed.

"Come on a Kairi I made you breakfast."

She looked at me with a scared look. "I want my aunty." She whispered.

"She's coming to get you today sweetheart. Are you hungry I made pancakes."

She hid under the covers and let out a soft cry, I sighed in frustration and walked back into the dining room. "She's crying."

He stood up. "The f**k you do?"

"Nothing she says she wants her aunt." I told him.

He walked in the room with her and I stayed out front. Soon enough, they both walked out with Kairi's things. I sat at the table and folded my arms. "Her aunts here?"

"Pulling up. Imma go wait downstairs." He said while grabbing all of her things. I waved bye and she waved back before leaving.

"Hey." I followed them. "I'm gonna go find something to where for later."

"Where for what" He asked.

I shrugged. "I'm gonna be with you and your friends, possibly some hoes. I wanna get cute."

"Well 'ight" He said. "Just meet me at the stu' when you can."

I'd normally ask one of the girls to join me, but since Alexis is pregnant and Asia and I aren't speaking what's the point. I took a deep breath and walked into the studio, I went into room 4 as usual and it was packed.

I walked towards Dave and kissed the side of his face. "Hey babe." I looked around and flashed a bright, yet fake, smile. "Hi everyone."

They all nodded and said wassup and Dave stood up. "What up." He sat his phone down and looked at Joe. "Aye I got it this time." He walked into the booth and put the headphones on, "Let's get it." A beat played and he started to nod his head.

I learned this about 10 minutes in the conversation

I'm thinking I don't even know you, why that information?-" He stopped rapping. "Yo wait wait Redo that shit."

Joe stopped the beat. "Ight."

I looked around and there were no females, I walked towards Tito. "Where the bitches."

He looked at me and laughed. "What?"

I laughed back, "Dave said a few hoes might be here where they at."

"Why so you can start anotha' fight?"

"Technically I didn't start the last one." I said backing myself up. "That b***h started it."

"Yeah yeah chill with the b***h word." He said back, "She family."

I rolled my eyes and looked at the door as it opened, by my surprise two girls I was not expecting to see were most definitely here.

I didn't know whether to speak to Asia or pretend she wasn't there, but then again, she doesn't even like Dave. Why is she at his studio session? I walked towards them, Asia looked at me and her whole expression changed, to a angry look.

"I'm ready to go." She said to Natalie.

"Why'd you even come?" I asked. "You don't like Dave."

She scoffed, "Natalie asked if I wanted to ride with her somewhere, if I would've known it was to this ghetto ass studio I would've stayed at home."

"I brung you here so we can just dead all the issues." Natalie said.

I looked at her, "Since when were you the peacemaker?"

"I never had a problem with you Morgan." She started. "If anything I always wanted to help. I heard about what happened between Dave and Asia so I just wanted to let them speak."

"Why them? They don't need a relationship if they don't f**k with eachother then they don't f**k with eachother-simple."

"Asia and Dave just don't need any bad blood, after all you are her bestfriend it wouldn't-"

"Not anymore." Asia said cutting her off.

I frowned a bit, "Asia for the one hundredth time I'm sorry." I whined. "It was just a dinner why are you acting like this?"

"It wasn't just a dinner Morgan. It was my f*****g birthday dinner!" She said. "How could you miss that over this nigga and his child! Oh I know. You rather play the mommy role instead of the bestfriend one."

"Aye what the f**k goin' on." Dave said on the microphone. He took the headphones off and walked out the booth, "Wassup what's the deal."

"Dave I brought Asia here, I just thought y'all needed to talk." Natalie said.

"About what?"

"About just putting yourself inside of her shoes and vice versa. You two need to understand eachother and come to an agreement, then after that her and Morgan can be friends again." She explained.

He tilted his head back then looked at her again. "Yo' why you always do this s**t? This why I don't like having you around man don't bring this s**t to my studio session." He said. "I'm working you think I give a f**k about making up with a b***h?"

"b***h?" Asia repeated, she looked at me. "You gone let this nigga talk to me like that?"

He scoffed. "f**k outta here you cut Morgan off didn't you? What the f**k she gone take up for you fa'." He shook his head. "Man I gotta work so all this extra unnecessary bullshit gotta go, I'm paying for this session and my s**t ain't finna get wasted."

"Oh I'm leaving." Asia said, "b***h ass Soundcloud rapper you ain't even gone make it so you wasting money anyway!"

"Bye lil slut and take ya mediator with you." He said referring to Natalie. "Don't be banging my s**t when it come on the radio either change the station."

"You are so disrespectful, I pray nobody talks to Kairi like that when she gets older!" Natalie yelled before they both stormed out of the room.

"You not gone go after ya friend?" Tito asked me crying hysterically.

"f**k all the bullshit I'm trynna finish this song." Dave said walking back into the booth, he looked at Joe. "Let's just go straight to the hook man block out all the distractions."
