As we exited the room I couldn’t help but scan my surroundings. I expected Orion to pop out at any moment and I tensed as we got closer to getting outside of the castle. I knew Ash would protect me, but I couldn’t help the fear that made the hair on my arms stand on end. Why hadn’t Ash just put an end to that monster? I had once thought it would be too cruel to see him torn apart, but after the day I had, I dearly wanted that. “Relax,” Ash’s soft voice was at my ear.
