Chapter 20

Bre's P.O.V.

Today was the day I go back to school. Shawn was going to have to follow me along from a distance for security reasons but I couldn't be happier. As I walked along the campus, it was such a beautiful day even though it was still warm. I walked to my first class for accounting and was a bit nervous. I would only have to go to the campus twice a week, so I tried to get as many classes done in a day as I could. I walked in and there were still a few seats left and I sat down in the middle towards the back. A red headed girl about my age bounced in after me and sat next to me. " Hi, I'm Shannon, what's your name?" She asked as I hesitated. Shawn walked in and all the other girls in the room, I watched them as they checked him out. I smiled to myself, they can look all they want, but they can't touch him. " I'm Cara " I replied back to Shannon as the teacher walked in and started class. Shannon wrote on a piece of paper,

I looked at her and nodded and she smiled back as we turned back towards the front, listening to the lecture. After about an hour and a half, I was tired of listening to mathematical calculations. I slowly turned to see Shawn still standing in the same spot and watching everyone carefully. The class finally dismissed and Shannon came up to me, " So what major are you?" " Accounting, you?" I replied as we walked out towards another building. " Business management, my father wants me to get into the family business so I didn't have much of a choice" she sighed.

" Well that's okay, at least you have something to fall back on when you graduate " I said as we continued to walk towards the building and stopped in front of a food cart. " Would you like something to drink?" Shannon asked me. " Water is fine" I replied as she got us three waters. " What's with the extra water?" I asked her. " Well I see your being followed, so I figured that guy staring at you would want something to drink too " as she winked at me and went to give Shawn some water. I walked up to them talking and decided to introduce them. " Shannon, this is my bodyguard, Shawn. Shawn this is my new friend Shannon " as they shook hands. " Nice to meet you " she replied seductively and I knew I better watch her with Shawn. " You as well " he replied as he stared at me. " Well, so what's the reason behind you having a bodyguard ?" She asked as we walked towards our next class. I didn't want to divulge too much information so I kept it simple. " Well my life was in danger at one point, so my parents wanted me to be protected just in case" She nodded, " Sounds good enough for me, I would do the same " as we walked into business management together.

Shawn's P.O.V

As I watched Cara and her new friend Shannon strolling to class, I couldn't get over how strongly I felt for her. She was so elegant and naive to the world around her. I watched them in their second class for the day and I would catch Cara glimpse at me from time to time. It tickled me to see her worrying about me. I watched all the girls eye me as I walked in but I could care less. Cara was the only one I had eyes for. The day ended pretty quickly a little after lunchtime so I walked up to Cara to tell her the plans I had for lunch. " Cara, would you please follow me to the car so we can go get some lunch?" I asked her. " Of course" she replied and said good bye to Shannon. " I'll see you tomorrow " Shannon yelled out as Cara waved back and we walked towards the black Audi she was just given. I was still mad about all that, but couldn't let Cara know that.

" Shawn, quit giving that face everytime we get close to this car, your the one I want" as she brought her hands to my face and quickly kissed me in the car. I smiled against her lips and said, " I know, I just wish I had bought it for you instead of him" I replied. " Don't worry about it love" as she turned the radio up and we left the campus, heading towards home.

Cara's P.O.V.

Once we got home and ate lunch, I had online classes I had to start so I told Shawn to go rest up while I got started. I wanted to graduate early, so I was taking as many hours I possibly could so that it would happen that way.

The only thing I never accounted for was, Shannon. She was constantly text me crazy ideas and asking for help on our assignments. She was non stop, I mean she seems sweet but when I'm trying to study, I don't want anyone bothering me. As I finished up around 6pm, my brain was exhausted. I don't know if taking eight classes, was a good idea or not. I left my office area and slumped onto the couch. I realized someone was in the kitchen but was to tired to check. I smelled something wonderful as I fell alseep. I felt light kisses all over my face, as I woke up. " hey baby, wake up. I made us some dinner" Shawn cooed into my ear. I could smell whatever it was and my stomach started growling. Shawn helped me get up and led me to the kitchen table where there was roast beef, mashed potatoes, greens and rolls.

" This looks wonderful, did you make this? I asked him. " Yes, I thought you might be hungry " he chuckled. " Well if the whole bodyguard things doesn't work out, I will hire you as my chef" I teased him. Shawn grabbed me and pulled me into his chest. " I might take yoh up on that offer, give me more reason to get close to you. Now let's eat, all that walking today made me hungry." As Shawn grabbed my hand and we sat down at the table, grabbing a plate to eat.
