Chapter 21

3 months later

Cara's P.O.V.

Well school had been going well so far, we were about a few days away from Thanksgiving Break and I couldn't wait for it. Shannon and I had become real close and she was so much fun to be around. She had introduced me to some new friends we made at a sorority party last night and I was still reeling from all the alcohol I drank. I wasn't much of a drinker, but Shannon came with drink after drink and how was I to say no? So I currently was laying on my bed with a hangover as I heard a slight knock on the door. " Can I come in?" Shawn asked as he has breakfast on a platter with a bottle of Tylenol. I just nodded my head and he chuckled, " Someone can't handle their alcohol " he smiled as he handed me the medicine with a bottle of water. " No and remind me to never drink with Shannon again. She is a fish!" as I swallowed the medication and looked at the pancakes, fruit and bacon that was before me. Shawn sat besides me in the bed, " I'm glad I was watching you, you had quite a few on lookers who seemed intrigued by you" Shawn said seriously. " I know, I'm sorry. I just wanted a night to myself, I'm glad you didn't listen" I said sheepishly as I remembered our conversation yesterday and what happened last night.

Flashback

" Shannon invited me to this sorority party and said it was secure" I tried to convince Shawn who didn't seem so. " Cara, no way in hell your going to that type of party alone. Do yoy not read the news or seen those movies? Girls like you get taken advantage of and I sure as hell am not going to allow that to happen" Shawn said as his face got bright red. I tried to caress his face but he just pulled back. " You don't want me to go with you, do you?" He asked quietly. I put my hair behind my ear and looked at him sadly, " It's not that, I just feel bad your always following me and we are together all the time. Don't you want one night for yourself?" I asked wondering how he felt. " No, Cara I don't. Ever since I met you, your all I think about. Nothing is going to change that" he said as he turned and kissed me fiercely. I gasped in surprise and just let him own me.

After that we made out and then it was time for me to get ready. As I got ready, I wanted to sneak out but knew he wouldn't allow it. I quickly got ready and asked Shannon to meet me down the street. Once I was ready, Shawn was no where to be seen. I quickly tiptoed out of the house and ran down the street to where Shannon was waiting. " Haha, running away from your hot bodyguard?" She laughed as she turned onto the road. " Yes, thankfully he didn't catch me" I replied as we cranked up the music and got into party mode.

Shawn's P.O.V.

I watched as Cara snuck out of the house and saw the car she got into. I was allowing her this freedom for this moment, but I had already put a bug in her purse so I knew her location anyway. I smirked to myself, she thought she was getting away easy but she wasn't. I quickly got in the car as I figured out where the house was at. I had overheard conversations in the courtyard earlier in the week about this big sorority house party tonight.

It took me about ten minutes and I pulled up to this huge house where the party was in full swing. Cars were parked everywhere even on other people's grass. I got out and walked up the porch into the house that was blaring loud country music. I looked at my phone and I was close. Once I walked in I was blasted with music, beer everywhere and the faint smell of something I couldn't quite pinpoint. I chuckled to myself, they sure knew how to throw a party. I was met by a young girl with a red solo cup with short shorts and a tube top. " Hey, I've never seen you around before?" She said seductively. " Yeah, I'm new. Looking for my friends, Cara and Shannon?" I asked as she started touching my arm. She pointed into the direction of another room, " In the kitchen I think. Why don't you hang out with me. We could get to know each other better" she said with beer heavily on her breath. " No thanks, I'm looking for them " I said as I pulled away from her looking for Cara.

Cara's P.O.V

As Shannon and I were taking shots of who knows what, a girl name Lisa came up to us. " Hey I just met this hot guy looking for you guys, who is he?" She asked. I looked at her, " Umm, not sure. Can you point him out?" I asked. She turned around, " hmm that's weird he was just there a minute ago" as she shrugged her shoulders and did a shot with us. I looked around at the people enjoying themselves. It was so nice to feel like I was living like a college student, partying and all. I giggled as Shannon let a guy do a shot off of her as she had laid on a table and he put the shot glass on her stomach. After Shannon got up, she motioned for me to do the same. " No I can't " I told her. " Aww, come on Cara. Drake won't hurt you, will ya babe?" As she kissed Drake's cheek. He was at least 6 foot with broad shoulders, like a football player. Dark hair and brown eyes that looked playful.

" No, it's okay. I'm sure he won't but I just don't feel comfortable yet" I said as I tried to back up. " Please, do it for me!" Shannon pleaded with me as the crowd started to grow. " CARA, CARA, CARA" they started to chant and I got a bit scared. Drake came up from behind me and picked me up and placed me on the table, as Shannon held down my hands. She kissed my cheek and whispered, " It's just a bit of fun, just relax" as she winked at me. I wanted to fit in with this group of friends but I wasn't sure this was the way I wanted to go about it.

As Shannon placed the shot on my now bare stomach, Drake leaned over and whispered in my ear, " I would love to have this body underneath me...soon.." as he smirked at me and then took the shot off of my stomach. It was a weird sensation but not too bad, I guess I overacted because it was over soon. " See, it wasn't that bad now was it?" Shannon giggled as she let go of my hands and I got off the table. I wasn't comfortable with what Drake had said to me though and was going to try to stay away from him.
