Chapter 23

Shawn's P.O.V.

I was so glad I followed her last night, I wasn't mad at her for wanting to experience the college life but she was no ordinary girl. She was a princess that I was in charge of protecting, she couldn't take risks like that ever again. I had made her breakfast and tried to joke with her to lighten her mood and it seemed to have helped. She finally came downstairs after she ate with an empty tray in hand as I was cleaning up. I heard her go to the door and open it up and gasp when she came back in. "What's wrong" I asked her.

" It's a letter from my father" she said sadly.

Cara's P.O.V.

As I read the letter, I trembled at the words he wrote.

My Dearest Daughter,

Your Fiancé will arrive on November 22nd to spend some time with you before you come home for the holidays. I hope this finds you well, I have emailed his flight confirmation to Shawn and the proper procedures for what I expect from the both of you.

I looked at the Calendar and it was tomorrow that Adrian was supposed to arrive. I felt myself going weak as Shawn caught me and we headed to the living room. " Are you okay?" he asked me as he rubbed my back gently. " Adrian's coming tomorrow...." I stammered out as Shawn took the letter and read it. " I guess he wanted it to be a surprise " Shawn said. " But how are we going to handle all of this?" Shawn just held me close, " Don't worry my love, it will all work out. We will just have to be careful " he said as he kissed the top of my head. " I have a better idea" I said as I grabbed his hand and led him upstairs.

Shawn stared at me as he quickly undressed and was left in nothing but his boxers. I was still in my robe, so as he got on the bed and straddled me, he untied the knot of my robe. I was at his mercy as he started to kiss my neck and my breasts that were on view for him. He softly kneaded my right breast as he kissed me sensually down my stomach all the way towards my underwear. He lifted them off of me in a quick swoop and I was bare for him. As he started to attack my core, I felt my insides burning with desire. Shawn knew everything to do to me to make moan and squirm in his possession. " Shawn... don't stop baby...please....." I moaned out as he continued to assault my core with his special tongue. I started to feel myself begin to climax as he swirled his tongue up and down my lips. " Yes right there...." as I felt myself come undone under his touch.

Shawn smirked at me as he rose above me and placed himself at my opening and gently pushed himself in as I gasped in response. I don't think I could ever get used to his length and girth. Shawn started to move in slow strokes as his arms were beside mine and I held onto his arm as he continued to slowly pump in and out of me sensually. " Cara...your so wet and tight...I don't think I can last" he moaned out as he looked deep into my eyes. " I don't care, I just want to feel you" I replied as he continued his slow and easy strokes and I felt myself going higher. Shawn started to move faster and as he did, the headboard started to hit against the wall. " Good thing, I know the neighbor " he chuckled as I giggled back. He continued his onslaught as I felt myself about to climax again. " Yes right there " I moaned as I felt myself come and he along with me.

As we came down off of our highs, Shawn brought me closer to himself by wrapping me in his arms. " I'm going to miss doing this " he whispered into my ear. " I know, I will too" I replied as I sighed and just wanted to enjoy laying in his arms for the time being.

I awoke the next morning and was left to lay in bed alone. I put my hand where Shawn had just slept and already his warmth was gone. I knew he left early for the airport to go retrieve Adrian whom I was not eager to see. I honestly was afraid I wouldn't be able to keep up appearances around Shawn because I realized last night how mucb I truly loved him. I don't know if I could go through lying to myself about these feelings anymore but I just couldn't.

I sighed at the thought of how he held me in his arms and the comfort I felt. I decided to get up and get ready just in case they came back here earlier than expected. I might as well work on some of my online coursework to pass the time. I went downstairs and saw coffee and a breakfast tray already laid out for me with a note from Shawn,

I will be back soon with the Prince.

As I folded the note into my jean pocket, I grabbed the coffee and tray and took it into the living room where I could start my coursework.

Three hours later and my brain was fried from calculations and projections in finance. I sighed as I looked at my watch and surely thought they would be back by now. I decided to call Shawn to see where he was at.

Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring....

Hmm..no answer. It went straight to voicemail. I tried once again and it still was unanswered. I hoped he was okay.

Shawn's P.O.V.

As I pulled up to the private jet that had just landed, I had an uneasy feeling about this whole thing. I knew my job would be to protect both Adrian and Cara but to be honest I could care less about him. Cara was mine and I knew she always would no matter what. We had established that fact pretty well here lately. I grinned as I thought about how beautiful and amazing she was to be around.

I watched as a big buff guy about my height came down first followed by Adrian. He was probably part of his security team. I got out of the car and went to shake his hand, he reluctantly shook mine and I motioned for him to follow me to the car. " Just because I'm here, doesn't mean you have to be nice to me Shawn" he snorted out as he got into the car. I grabbed the bags and put them in the back.

The big buff guy followed behind all in black with sunglasses and a bald head. The guy must have weighed a good 220lbs. He got into the backseat, and said nothing. I just looked at him and Adrian. Adrian smirked at me, " This is Greg, he is my personal bodyguard". " Nice to meet you Greg" I said as I looked at him through the rearview mirror. He just grunted in response. I started the car and we got on our way. We were about an hour from the condo, so I suggested we stopped and got lunch before we got back. I wanted to give Cara as much time to herself as possible.

We stopped at a local restaurant and got out. It was small quaint diner with good home cooked food. We walked in and Adrian just turned his nose up. " What is this place?" He said as he looked at me with a questioning look. I just shrugged and got us a table for three. As the hostess sat us down with our menus, Shannon walks up to us. " What can I get y'all to drink?" She said as she looked up from her notepad and looked me in the eyes. " Hey bodyguard, how's it going?" She winked at me as I gave her my drink order. " and what would you two handsome men like to drink?" As she batted her eyelashes at Adrian and he just stared at her, mesmerized. " We both will take iced tea" he said. " Sweet or unsweet ?" She asked seductively. " Sweet" he said as he eyed her as she walked away. He nudged me in the shoulder, " How does she know you?" He asked me as he kept an eye on her as she got our drinks from across the bar. " She's a college friend of Cara's. She has really taken to her." I replied as she walked back towards us. " I would be the same way" as he licked his lips towards her and she just winked back at him. " Here are you drinks boys, what would you like to eat?" She looked at Adrian and he replied back, " You" he teased her. She smiled and laughed, " Your sweet" she replied as we all finally gave her our orders.

Adrian and I made small talk as we waited for our food. As Shannon brought the food out, she handed us each our food and we thanked her. She discreetly slipped something to Adrian and I pretended to not notice. He hasn't even been here a few hours and he is already showing off his player ways to me. I knew he liked the ladies but didn't realize that much. As Greg and I started to eat, Adrian excused himself to the restroom. Greg offered to follow but Adrian said, " No need Greg. I don't think in this small town, anyone knows who I am" he said as he smirked and walked off. I ate my lunch but curious as to what Adrian was doing. He had been gone for at least ten minutes. I got up and used the excuse to go to the restroom as well.

I walked down a hallway towards the restrooms and I could hear moaning through a door that I walked past. It was a closet of some sort, I gently peeked in and was surprised at what I saw. Shannon was on a crate on her knees as Adrian was pounding into her from behind. I decided this was my opportunity to catch him in the act, so I got my phone out and started to record. As I was recording, Cara called me and my phone went off. I tried to silence it but wasn't in time. I watched as Adrian and Shannon scurried to put their clothes back on as I snuck into the restroom without them knowing. I exited out a few moments later, and saw Adrian looking a bit flushed sitting back at our table. As I walked up to the table, my phone went off again and Adrian just gave me this dirty look. Uh-oh, this isn't good.
