Chapter 5

The last two weeks have gone by in a blur. Jared was gone mostly but said he would be back in time for her to shift. There were a lot of rogue wolves in the territory and he was not risking his mates life. Him and nick were out trying to figure this thing out. She stood next to Erica and Jennie. The front door opened. He was here. She felt her wolf go crazy. She couldn’t wait til she shifts and actually gets to meet her. The little psycho. He looked over. He looked exhausted.

“I completely forgot you graduate today… let me go shower…”

“It’s okay. You can go sleep.”

“But I want to be there.” He sounded like he genuinely could not miss her graduation. It’s not a big deal. It’s just high school.

“It’s okay. It’s just a list of names.” That’s all it was. Della graduated top of her class and two people were giving speeches then a whole lot of names and then she would walk acroos the stage then even more names then they would be back home for the after party her parents were throwing. Oh boy Jared was going to go crazy. So many guys loved Della and loved touching her… although right now her body craved Jared’s touch.

“We have a party here after. Try to get some rest and make it to the party.” Her mom. The problem solver and encourager. “Okay.” He walked away and went upstairs. Just as well. She exhaled. Was she seriously holding her breath the whole time? What spell did he have over her body. Erica and Jennie were both smirking.

“Shut up.” They both started laughing. All their parents took a few more pictures and then they went to leave.

“I forgot my cap upstairs. I’ll be right back.” Della ran up and to her room. She went to grab the cap. Where was it?

“Looking for this baby girl?” He was supposed to be sleeping. She turned around.

“Yes. Can I have it?” She walked over to him. She saw his wolf flash.

“I think I will go to the graduation.”

“You don’t have to. It’s okay.” He wrapped his arm around her. He pulled her body flush against his… oh gosh she was so aroused.

“You’re looking a little too hot and I want people to know you’re mine.” He buried his face in her neck. Inhaling her. No doubt mostly calming his wolf. At least his wolf’s anxiety. His wolf’s horniness that was a whole other thing. “You smell so good.” He licked her neck and then sucked on it.

“If you leave a hickey I will hurt you.” He laughed against her neck. He moved his face up. She was staring into his mostly green eyes.

“I would love to see you try.” McAllister flashed again. This wolf.

“You’re weird. Now I got to go.”

“We got a few minutes. I told mom and dad I would take you so they rode with Jennie’s family.” She gave him a dirty look. “You’re making me so aroused right now.” She doesn’t know why but she reached out and grabbed him by his groin. She started stroking him.

“Oh I noticed.” His wolf flashed completely. She heard the growl. Why did that make her more aroused? Jared pulled her body into his even further.

“You’re playing a very dangerous game baby girl.” She really was. She was ready to try to tackle him on the floor and have s*x with him. Having control with each other has never been their strong suit. When they fought it was with all their might. She can’t imagine s*x being much different.

“I know… but what are you going to do about it?” She was challenging him. She knows it’s been hard for the poor guy. 6 years of waiting. Now a month and a half left. She was going to be mean. She was going to torture him. He growled and pushed her over to her bed and pushed her down.

“I don’t think you’re ready for that baby girl.” He started kissing her neck. His groin was rubbing in hers and the texture from her thong and dress drove her wild! He started kissing down her neck and lower. He let his hand roam from her knee up her thigh and up to her hip. He started creeping over to her center. She wanted this to happen. The door bell rang. Oh gosh. She pushed Jared off her and he landed on the floor with a hard thump. She heard the growl.

“Seriously get some rest.” She said as she walked out of her room. She just heard Jared laugh. Her phone buzzed.

‘Tease.’ She was and she loved it. They had less than two months. They could hold out that long…. Right? She opened the door. Nick. Okay that was a way to calm down. He smirked.

“What do you want?” He laughed.

“One your parents don’t trust you two alone. Two I can completely understand why. You two smelled up the entire house. Better air that out before people come over.” She rolled her eyes.

“What are you even doing here?”

“I’m your new ride. Let’s go.” He turned around and walked down the stairs. She forgot her cap again. Dang it!

“I forgot my cap I’ll be back.” She ran upstairs real quick again. She walked into her room. It was sitting on her nightstand while her brother slept on her bed. She smirked. She ran back downstairs. She got in the car.

“Wow that took a lot less time than I thought it would.”

“He’s passed out on my bed.” She flipped the hat over. A piece of paper fell out. She unfolded it.

‘I love you and am so proud of you baby girl. Sorry I can’t be there.’ Poor guy was having a problem with not being there.

“Don’t worry I plan to video tape every second of you so he will almost be there.”

“Do you think he will like that?”

“He will like it. He’s not going to love it. He would prefer to be here.”

“What even happened out there?”

“He didn’t sleep a lot. He’s really worried about you and someone trying to snatch you or worse. Be patient with him. He’s going to be acting irrational.”

“Why are you fine?”

“I am not worried about you. I’ve seen you put Jared in a choke hold. I’ve seen you tackle him. You’ll be fine.” She laughed.

“You’re a good friend to my brother.”

“Booo! I want to be your friend not his.” She laughed again.

“You’re a great second brother.” He grabbed her hand and kissed it. Why wasn’t his touch burning her? She pushed that to the back of her mind.

“I’m glad. Just know if you ever need anything please feel free to come to me. I will help. And if I can’t I will let Jared help you.”

“I know. You’re a great friend.”

“Good.” He pulled up in front of the school. She got out. She zipped up her gown and Erica helped put the hat on and they walked in. The ceremony went by in a blur. She walked across the stage. She knew where her parents were sitting so she looked over. Much to her surprise Jared was there. Her breath caught in her lungs. He looked so good. She walked back down and sat down. She was very aware of him watching her. Why did that turn her on and make her nervous at the same time? The end of the ceremony. Erica came up to Della and hugged her, “we did! We made it!” Della laughed. Her chemistry teacher walked up to her.

“Top of your class. I would expect nothing less from you. Good job. If you ever need help with anything whenever you go off to college let me know.” He winked at her and walked away. Erica leaned close.

“So he no longer has that effect on you. Does he know you’re Jared’s mate?”

“Probably. Most people knew it before me. Also why does he seem to like me?”

“He’s 25 and you’re so freaking attractive. I don’t blame the guy. Also how bad would he to be married to the alphas daughter?” Della laughed. She started walking in the direction of her parents. Jared was still sitting down. Watching her every move. Gosh that turned her on. She walked over to her parents and her dad hugged her.

“I’m so proud of you!” That meant so much to her. Her history teacher walked up to them.

“Congrats girls! You both did really well! I’m so lucky to have students like you.” Della hugged Ms Josie. She was going to miss her.

“Our girls were definitely lucky to have you.” Erica’s dad. He was a man of few words. So whenever he spoke you know he meant it.

“They were such a pleasure whenever they weren’t being mischievous.” She gave Della and Erica her teacher look. They both laughed. “Do you mind getting one last picture of us?” She handed Della’s dad her phone.

“Of course. Take your gowns off.” Her mom said. Della unzipped her gown and removed it. The lustful expression from Jared didn’t go unnoticed. She literally chose this dress thinking of how Jared would react. She thinks she got the right one. It will be fun teasing him all night. They got positioned and took a photo.

“Thank you. You two be good. Don’t cause trouble. If you need a recommendation letter for college please please keep me in mind. I love you both.” She gave them both one last squeeze and left. Erica walked over to her family so did mom and dad. Della walked up the bleachers to Jared.

“I thought you were sleeping.” He helped her sit right next to him. Honestly she was happy for his touch. Her body was still burning whenever anyone touched her.

“I was. I woke up about 30 minutes later and made it here on time.”

“You still look tired.” He laughed.

“I’m exhausted. But I’m not going to not be here. In case you haven’t noticed you’re a pretty important person to me. Mate or not.” Yeah. She has unfortunately.

“I know. I’m appreciate you being here. I was kind of sad you weren’t going to be here.” He smirked.

“Does it have anything to do with that dress?” He notices everything. She rolled her eyes.

“Yeah sure all about the dress.”

“Honestly that’s the one I liked the most.”

“What?”

“Erica sent me some photos. I’m shocked you didn’t pick up on that.” She really didn’t. Were her instincts that off? “She sent me this one and McAllister went wild. But seeing a picture and you in real life… the pictures really don’t do you justice baby girl.” Why was she getting so aroused? “And don’t worry. As time goes on you’ll be able to hide your arousal.” She rolled her eyes and got up. He laughed. She walked down to Erica.

“So that was a cute little moment with you two.”

“Whatever. Let’s go.” Erica laughed.

“He’s your mate. He loves you. He’s good to you. Be happy.”

“I’m thrilled.” She grabbed her dad’s truck keys. He had someone bring them over. Jared ended up walking down and catching up with them. “I need a break from you.” Della said over her shoulder. He laughed.

“I’ve been home one hour and you’re already sick of me? The rest of our lives are going to be so interesting.” Erica laughed.

“He’s got a point. Love the poor man.” Della picked up her pace.

“I need to talk to Erica alone. So go bother nick.” Jared laughed. He grabbed onto her hips stopping her walking and pulled her body close to his.

“Okay. But just know you’re mine later.” He whispered in her ear. That gave her goosebumps and turned her on like crazy. “You’re completely mine whether you like it or not.” He bit her ear and then moved away. Her body ached for his again. Erica laughed.

“I think I just got pregnant from that exchange.” Della laughed. They found her dad’s truck and hopped inside. “What did you want to talk about?”

“I can’t be Jared’s mate. Im going to reject him.”
