Episode 1
Qin Huan woke up feeling pain in her head. She found herself in an unfamiliar environment, a house made up of wooden walls, smelly air and a hard bed. She was very confused, but this confusion did not last long as half an hour later everything became clear. She has somehow time traveled. Her original name was Sonika, born in northwest India to a middle-class family. She was very young when her grandfather passed away, so young that she did not have a single memory of him. She had two elder uncles and three aunts. They were originally from the village, but later her second uncle and father moved to the city in search of work. Her father's life was not good as he worked with his first uncle for 15 years, yet was kicked out without anything. Later, he worked for a second uncle for 15 years but also was kicked out without any property or money. Sonika has two siblings, an elder sister and younger brother. Her sister needed money to pay for the college fee for MBBS, when her second uncle kicked their family out and got separated. As a result, her father took a loan from a bank. Later, her second uncle caused a lot of problems due to which their only shop incurred little income and her father had to take many loans either from a bank, friends or relatives. Gradually, every relative started to side with her two uncles, despite what they had done to her father. As they were rich and more powerful. However, her father never gave up. He was the only one who had two daughters among all his siblings. His first daughter wanted to become a doctor. He encouraged her and paid for everything. His second daughter wanted to study business. Because there was unemployment in India, he sent her to Australia to study. He neither had money nor property, yet could send Sonika to Australia, so that she could make her career there. All the relatives laughed at him for wasting everything on his daughters instead of saving it for his only son.
However, everything was different from what Sonika had imagined. It was the first time she had been alone. She was a person who had never been to a place without her mother or a family member, not even to relatives' house. She will go to school on the school bus and come back home on the same bus. After coming home, she did not go out of home. If she needed something, her parents would bring it for her. She rarely went to market and with her parents. She never went to her friend's home to study, never had romantic relationships or went to the cinema. She was an extreme introvert who would not speak unless asked for her opinion. That's why she did not have very close friends. She likes to keep everything to herself. But her imagination is very good. If someone said anything to her or scolded her, she would scold him in her imagination. She likes to read novels, watch chinese, Korean, Thai, Japanese dramas. Many times she wished to experience time travel, imagining herself as the female lead of a novel or drama or be born in China as she likes chinese culture, tradition, way of education and dress style the most. After going to Australia, because of her introverted personality, she did not make any friends. She did get to know few students who were from India, but they were just people she knew, but could not be considered friends. And the study methods of both countries were so different that she found herself unable to cope with her studies. She was so stressed that one day she had a high fever and passed out.
And when she woke up, she found herself in an unfamiliar place. Memories that did not belong to her made her realized that she had indeed time traveled. When she was in her world, she wished to experience time travel, but now that it has happened she is not happy, not even the slightest bit. She was only 19 years old. If she had died in the original world, how sad her parents would be when they knew that she had died in a foreign country. What about all the loans they had taken to send her abroad? Who will pay for that? How would her mother endure all the pain and suffering? Moreover, where she has currently arrived is an era where emperors rule and people, especially poor people, regard daughters as a burden. How would she survive in a place full of strangers? Who will help her, love her, guide her and protect her like her family? Thinking of all this, her eyes overflowed with tears that she could not control. When she was abroad, at least she could return to her family when she missed them, but here, how would she meet them, or would she even meet them again? She kept on crying and later fainted.
Some time later, a few women came inside the room, woke up Qin Huan, gave her breakfast and started dressing her up for the wedding. Turns out, today is her wedding, but Qin Huan was not in the mood for anything, she was in a daze. All she could think of was her parents. When she fainted from crying a few hours ago, she dreamed about another world where her parents had just two children. It was like everything related to her had disappeared. If this is what has happened, then it was good. At least they don't have to go through the pain of losing a daughter. However, she remembered everything, so how could she forget them so quickly? Moreover, the fact that her family would forget her forever hurts her even though it's good for them. She has spent every single day of her life with them. How can she get used to not having them with her for a few hours? Even in Australia, she used to talk with them every day.
After getting ready, she went with the groom in a daze while keeping her head down. Later, whatever retiual was asked to do, she did it absent-mindedly. Finally, she came to her senses when she was asked to sit in the bridal chamber and wait for her husband to come.
