After Sarah's departure, the ringing tone of Amelia's phone resounded through the sitting room.
Turning to where the sound was coming from, Amelia saw her bag lying on one of the sofas, and with that she rushed towards it and brought out her ringing phone to check who was calling.
On seeing the caller ID, Amelia immediately took the phone and went outside before picking up.
"Hello, sweetheart, How are you doing?" Amelia asked after picking up the call, but she got no response despite the fact that the call was still on.
"Hello Dave, are you there?" Amelia asked after some minutes of silence.
"Hello Mum, is that you?" Dave's voice resounded through the phone.
"Yes, it's me, and why have you been silent all this while?" Amelia asked him with an inquisitive tone.
