I Am In Love With Your Brother

"Mom, I know... I know..." "Yeah, I will find someone for myself and you don't have to worry" (Pausing awhile) "Yes! If I found one, I'll bring him over for dinner okay? Aright, take care, Mom. Love you." (Sigh) Tania drops her iPhone and stares at Wilfred with a very frustrated face. She quickly grabbed the Grandé Starbuck's cup from Wilfred and took few sips and then put it down. Wilfred continues reading his patient's information from his tablet ignoring Tania. That makes Tania frustrates more. "Oi," while waving her right hand in front of Wilfred's serious face. "Do you hear me, Fred?" Calling Wilfred's name a few times just to make his attention turn to hers. After a few waves, then she gave up. She stood up with an anoyingness and when she was about to step out from the café, she felt someone grabs her by her left wrist. Turns out it is Wilfred. A visible curve slowly forming on her face. Followed with a knock on her head. "Ouch! Why did you do that?" "You forgot your phone, dumb-ass" Wilfred said while handing her the phone. I mean, isn't that the cutest thing he has ever done to her? Apart from being insulted all the time from Wilfred Price, that was incredibly the sweetest thing he has ever done to her. The curves on her face cannot even go away after that. She just keeps on thinking on how cool was Wilfred when he grabbed her wrist and handed her the phone. "You know, that was the sweetest thing you have ever done for me" "In this life?" "Yeah!" "You sure? Because I can remember more" Tania's widened when she suddenly recalls all her past memories. She remembers how her girl-friends ditched her on her class-chores-day and Wilfred was the one who accompanied her until she finished and went to the cafeteria together. She remembers how they lied down on the school assembly hall's floor until sun down waiting for their rides to pick them after school and how they were just plainly talk about life. She remembers how he came to her house every evening just to hang around and play video games. She remembers the first time he introduced her to his whole family and his sister told her that she was the first. Tania and Wilfred have been friends since they were 13. Tania then was an insecure, impulsive and pessimistic about everything. Wilfred then was very much quiet and has no friends because of that. They met each other just because Tania had a huge crush on his elder brother, Timothy. Timothy Price was 17 that time. He was already the high school senior. Moreover, he was the most handsome and popular boy in the whole school. He has fair skin, tall figure, a little muscular, the school's athlete, and the Christian Fellowship's President. He was known in his batch as "Angel Eyes" due to angelic eyes. They were so sparkly and dreamy --- and brown. Due to his popularity, it was really hard for Tania to approach him. Remember when I said Tania was impulsive? So, she planned one day to just come up to Timothy and confessed about her feelings. The night before, she had already prepared a small gift and a small card to be given to Timothy. It was on Friday and every Friday in St. Michael High, the Catholic students need to go to church. Whereas the non-Catholics need to gather for the fellowship instead. Tania went to the fellowship with the hopes that she can meet her ultimate crush and give him the gift. She entered the hall and began searching an unoccupied seat. She saw one seat at the very back and she went and sit down. After the praise and worship, prayers and everything, they were asked to play a small game called 'Point-Stand-Speak'. (Note: It is basically a game where after a person being pointed, he/she needs to stand up and say any bible verses that he/she remembers and each person pointed cannot have the same bible verse.) It just happened that Tania was not ready for the game since she did not read the bible so often. Her palms started to get sweaty. A few minutes after the game was explained, they started playing it and Tania could feel a huge lump in her throat causing her hard to breathe in that situation. All she wanted was not to get pointed. Unknowing what was going to happen, someone suddenly pulled her left wrist and murmured a few words in her ear. She quickly turned left and saw one cute boy looking exactly similar to Timothy Price but with a tanner skin. She was dumbstruck. She heard someone calling her. "The girl with glasses. Stand up. You were being pointed." Realising that she needed to come back to reality, she stood up and uttered the exact same thing what the boy told her. "Philippians 4 verse 13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" "Okay, good job" said Hosanna, the girl who conducted the game and standing beside her crush. After the fellowship, Tania turned around looking for the boy, he already stepping outside the hall. She hurriedly went outside following the tall slender back amidst the crowds. Almost losing the sight of him, she pushed her way through the crowds, ignoring the people walking in hordes. When she finally got really near with him, she grabbed him by his shoulder. The boy finally turned around and looked at her with confusions. "What's your name?" she asked while panting. "Wilfred" "Just Wilfred?" "Wilfred Price" Her jaw nearly dropped when she heard that the boy and Timothy Price were related. No wonder both of them look similar. Talking about Timothy Price, she forgot that she needed to give the gift to Timothy. When she looked back, the hall's door was already locked. Then, she turned to the boy named Wilfred again. "Umm, can you do me a favour?" "What is it?" Inserting her hand in her right pocket and reaching the gift with the small card, then she handed it to the boy. "Can you please help me give this to your brother?" He took the green pouch with a small yellow ribbon tying it. There was a small card attached to the pouch. He brought it closer to his nose and started sniffing it. "Ex-cuuuuse me?" Tania stared at him weirdly for sniffing the pouch. "Just to make sure that you didn't give any charm to my brother to make him fall in love with you" Did he just said that she was going to poison his brother? Whoa, that was the first time she felt so insulted by a boy that she just met. It literally means that Tania does not look like the standard whereby a boy can fall for her naturally. She was so irritated and asked the boy to hand back the pouch so that she could meet Timothy herself and give him face-to-face. Instead of giving back the pouch, he went off with the pouch in his pocket while ignoring Tania. Just when she wanted to call him back, she heard a familiar voice called her from her back.
