Arthur’s POV
The journey to the rogue territory was tense. Jeremy and I had been preparing for this moment for days. The rogues had been a growing problem, and their attacks had become more frequent and more vicious. The last time one of their raids reached me, it cost nearly cost the life of the person I love. I couldn’t let that happen again. This time, I was going to go directly to the source, find out why they were attacking us, and hopefully, put an end to it.
Jeremy and I rode in silence for most of the trip. The terrain was rough, and every so often, I glanced around, watching for any sign that we were being followed or watched. We couldn’t afford to be caught off guard. The rogues were unpredictable, and I didn’t trust any of them.
