Arthur's POV When I turned around, the figure was gone. The woods were quiet again, and for a moment, I stood there, staring into the shadows where it had been. I couldn’t tell if I had imagined it or if it was real. My mind was racing, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong. My eyes kept searching, hoping for some sign of movement, but there was nothing. I stood there for what felt like forever, my heart still pounding, trying to make sense of what had just happened. But before I could think any more, I heard Jeremy’s voice calling out to me. “Arthur, are you okay? Why are you staring at where you just left? Did you see something or is something still there?” he asked, his voice worried. I could hear his footsteps crunching on the leaves as he got closer.
