Arthur's POV
I walked into the elder's chambers, Jeremy by my side, and demanded, "I am sorry if I summoned you here in so much hurry; I called this meeting, you elders, to prepare to go on with the mating ceremony, be it auspicious or not." I took my seat at the head of the table while Jeremy was my right-hand man and Beta took his seat by my right hand
The elders exchanged amused glances between themselves but Elder Thompson turned towards me. "Forgive me, Alpha. But I thought we discussed about this some weeks back that you can't go on with the mating ceremony. We received urgent news," one explained.
I gestured for them to continue pretending as if I had forgotten what I was told or I didn't know what they would discuss.
"The mating ceremony..." Elder Thompson began
