Chapter 45– How Is She?
Johnny POV A week after learning that Val had died, I got an anonymous phone call. At first I would reject the call but on the third day I decided to take it, my curiosity getting the better of me. It turns out that the caller was Xavier and while I did not believe him at first, I was surprised to learn that Val was still alive. I had been under the belief that Val was not really dead, that something had happened and that she was removed from the hospital under false pretenses. But my investigations kept ending up at dead ends. The only real lead I had was Xavier, he punched me out cold and his last words to me. ‘Forgive me’. Why would Xavier want me to forgive him? Why did he punch me? These two questions kept going round and round my mind until I spoke to Sebastian about them. Eve
