Val POV “I am your guardian.” “My guardian?” I ask confused. “Yes, I know it sounds crazy but please, hear me out?” Xavier asks, I am looking at him incredulously. I am beginning to wonder if he has lost his mind? I am a human, not some creature from a fairytale, so I wouldn’t need a guardian. “And what does being a guardian entail?” I ask. “Not a guardian, your guardian. And it is mainly to keep you safe, which I have completely failed to do I know. But the moon goddess sometimes allocated wolves a guardian, it might be because they are destined for greatness or there is something in their life that they need protecting from. In your case I do not know, no one had ever heard of a human being allocated a guardian. Hence why my family and I kept it secret.” Xavier tried to explain.
