Meet Tamika and The Line
Tamika Daniels lives in Detroit, Michigan. She has one sister and one brother. Their names are, Trey Daniels, who's twelve, and Keisha Daniels, who's eleven. They both attend Michigan Raleigh School. Tamika's fourteen, and she's in ninth grade. She has black hair, brown eyes, and her skin complexion is black. She goes to Michigan High School.
Her mom and dad, Shayla and Dominic Daniels, both work at a car dealership. They both enjoy working together. Shayla helps people pick out a car, and helps them buy it. Dominic fixes the cars.
Tamika's in the marching band, and she plays snare. She's section leader of the percussion section.
When she was first made section leader, she was terrified. She thought about screaming at the section at band camp to do warm-ups. She thought about banging on her drum if they didn't listen to her. She thought about yelling at them to slow down, or to play quieter, but she realized it's not like that at all. She enjoys being the section leader.
The section consists of three snares, two quads, three basses, and one cymbal. The snares are, Tamika Daniels, who's fourteen, Briana Jones, who's thirteen, and Siera Briggs, who's also thirteen. The quads are, Thomas Niles, who's eleven, and Joseph Tank, who's fourteen. The basses are, Darryn Griffith, who's fifteen, Ryan Nixon, who's thirteen, and Maleek Smith, who's twelve, and the cymbal player is Shawna Denis, who's also twelve. The band has 39 members. The director is, Leon Wright, a hard-working man, with blue eyes, black hair, and the complexion of vanilla. He's been directing the band for four years.
