Jake's POV
Emily hates me. She does not give one damn about me. I have been working with her for almost two weeks now, and everyday, I try so hard to get at least one word out of her, but she totally ignores me. No words are spoken between us. No hand waves. No eye contact. No stolen glances. Nothing.
I think the night that she got herself drunk made things worse between us. I am getting something that is worse than nothing. I am getting to witness more Mark and Emily time.
I have to believe that she has moved on, that she is better off without me, especially after seeing Mark walking out of her room in the middle of the night, several times. Several times. It is like she just can't get enough of that f*cker.
What does she seriously see in him? I really wonder.
