Ava's POV I stayed where I was, watching. Richard flashed his identity card and said something to him. The change was immediate. The doctor’s annoyed expression melted into stiff politeness. His scent shifted from irritation to cautious respect. “Call off the guards,” the doctor said quickly. The security wolves stepped back at once. The woman looked completely confused as the guards suddenly stopped dragging her. “Y-you can stay,” the doctor added awkwardly. The boy was guided gently back toward the ward. The woman stared at Richard, stunned. Then tears filled her eyes. “Thank you… thank you so much,” she sobbed, bowing repeatedly. Richard rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, clearly uncomfortable with the attention. I didn’t wait to hear the rest. Instead, I slipped outside.
