Victor's POV Three days later, I stood outside Ava’s hospital room. It was time for her to leave the hospital. The sterile scent of medicine and antiseptic filled the hallway, irritating my wolf’s nose. Hospitals were uncomfortable places for wolves. Too many scents of weakness, pain, and death. But I waited. And sure enough, the door opened. Ava stepped out. She looked better than she had days ago, though there was still a faint paleness to her skin. My wolf noticed immediately.
