On the other side, his colleagues roamed around the village together. They thought it would as easy to find even one resident but I tell you they walked till evening only to find some plot of land that had five dilapidated huts. It was already evening and they were very tired so they resorted to invading the people in there for there was no time for negotiation.
They all agreed to move according to that plan but swore not to hurt anyone as that would add to their already many crimes. Jarod led the group as they picked up some stones from to ground to use for pausing threat and for defense in case things went amiss.
I just wonder how quickly they had forgotten what happened to them in the forest. They quietly tiptoed towards one of the hats that had smoke coming out from it signifying that it had some people or a person in it cooking.
As expected, there was just one person. Jarod and the others entered and told this woman to kneel down and keep quiet since she was attempting to scream. To them, the mission had been easier done than said. Sheya saw a rope somewhere in the hut and quickly tied her up.
“As simple as this! We already have where to sleep and what to eat,” said Jarod as he approached to stove to see what this woman was cooking.
Unfortunately, it was water being boiled. Jarod commanded them to check all the other four huts and see if there was any important thing. After about five minutes of thorough checking, they returned with nothing more than fruits which they all liked.
“I am sleeping in that corner, consider it taken please,” said Jack.
Peter then commented, “All my life I have never seen such a woman leaving alone in a hut surrounded by four huts. I have a feeling that there are many others somewhere who may be watching us. I am not comfortable.”
“You coward,” said Jarod. “Can you try to remain positive? Do not force me to come there and slap you again.”
After about twenty minutes, they heard heavy thuds from outside the house. It appeared as if there were many people that were coming. With no where to hide, they decided to prepare for the fight.
Outside the house where about fifteen residents and including six men, four women and five children . The women were from fetching water from the river while the men were from hunting. The children had escorted those adults of there interest.
The men where armed with guns, knives, arrows and spears as any other hunter out there. They were all moving happily back, carrying their game, to what they regarded as their safe haven not knowing what had happened. They all had to go into the hut where the cook was so as to deliver the game and the water.
Jarod and others were waiting for them to move closer so that they would ambush. Of course they did not know that those who were coming were armed.
“On a count of three we will all move out and take them down,” said Jarod.
So it was, but on moving out, the residents just took out their weapons and warned Jarod and his friends not to do anything stupid or else they would be killed immediately.
“Just surrender. You stand no chance today. You visitors are not welcome,” said Gooky, one of the hunters.
“If you surrender, perhaps we may spare your lives. Please kneel down if you value your pathetic lives,” he added.
In fear for there lives, they quickly knelt down. The women then ran into the house to see what had become of their fellow woman. Luckily, she alive without any injury, only that she was tied up.
They then asked if she was fine and quickly untied her. They led her outside the house and she saw the men that had captured her kneeling down. She just looked at them and smiled because there had been a turntable situation.
“Women, get back to cooking because we have visitors. The rest of you, tie those up because they have a couple of questions to answer,” said Gooky.
