Chapter 3

1100 Words
Ava sat on the chair on the walkway, gazing as people walking tho and fro minding their various businesses. "I was like this too." She thought as she watched them. "I was free and without thinking of any negativity happening to me. I was okay. The ultimate thing I lacked was my parents, who died a long time ago, when I was only but ten years old. Although I felt their impacts and missed them but I made sure I was okay and reserved." Ava sighed in thought. "I know I wasn't okay even when I made everyone thought I was. Life in the streets was hard, I knew what I went through especially when I first joined the people in the street. I thought of committing suicide like countless times especially when some hoodlums attempted r**e on me but I'm glad I always got saved." A lone tear escaped from her eyes. "Then I met him, my mate." She smiled slightly, remembering the old good days. "When I first met my mate, I felt that all my sorrowful days were numbered. We were so into each other, or just so I thought, that I don't saw the danger approaching. We had a thing together and boom! He brought out his hidden characters." "It was shocking and crazy, I had thought that he didn't meant his newly found characters but I got flabbergasted when he didn't stopped me when I wanted to leave, he even had the guts to reject me as his mate, only to leave me pregnant with three babies. Like what the heck!" Ava still remembered the day like it was yesterday. >>Flashback<< Ava was panting heavily like she had ran a marathon race, but she didn't actually did, she was only blasting Sam out for being senseless and less considerate. "What the hell are you telling me Sam?? We have been in this together, so how come you're just spitting out all those trashy words from your mouth??" "Listen to me Ava, it just have to happen this way, you're changing, I can't seems to keep my mind off your raising attitude, I need to focus. I have to think. Please Ava, just leave this place for now, I will get you back whenever you're needed." His statement made Ava useless and worthless. It only meant to her that her presence suffocated him and he was indirectly rejecting her but she didn't wanted to believe that immediately, she decided to confirmed. "What do you mean Sam??" "Which statement do you find difficult to understand Ava??" "The part where you said I should leave for awhile and will be gotten back when needed? I don't understand that part." "Use your brain Ava. It simply meant that I don't want you around for now, I will get you back when I'm calm and in the right state of mind." "You're rejecting me Sam." She noticed with tears building up in her eyes. "I have no choice, that's the only solution to my problems right now." He walked closer to her but Ava walked away from him. He sighed. "Don't worry, I will find you when I know what to do about myself." Ava ran away from his presence in tears, she haven't felt so broken before. * She remembered when she first discovered her pregnancy, she had freaked out. She only noticed her stomach becoming bigger, then the morning sickness, that's all. She never expected herself to be pregnant, she thought of herself to be feverish. Ava understood she was pregnant when she fainted after working tirelessly, she was rushed to the hospital by an old woman and she discovered that she was pregnant. "What are you doing girl? Working too hard with the kids in your tummy?? Are you daft or dumb?" Ava couldn't answered, she wasn't even listening to the woman, she was thinking, "How will I survive?? I couldn't even survive on my own, now it's not only me, it's like four of us now. How are we going to survive?" She cried. "Are you even listening to me at all?" The old woman brought her out of her reverie. "Huh?" She muttered amidst her sob. "What were you doing with the pregnancy?" The woman asked angrily. "I....um.. I don't know that I'm pregnant, I'm still in the shock of just finding out." The woman sighed, "what were you doing?? Where are your parents?? Do they know that you're busy stressing yourself and the kids? Where's your husband? Are you even married at all?" Ava cried, not having any answer to the question she was asked. The woman seemed to understand her perfectly, so she pulled her into an embrace. "I understand you. Stop crying girl, I understand you. Do you have a place you stay??" "No." Ava replied and the woman sighed. "Can you stay with me in my house?? It's so old and small." The woman offered. "I don't mind. Please I don't. I want to stay with you." Ava quickly replied. "I'm Ama." The old woman introduced. "Ava." Ava replied. Ava was grateful, she haven't felt so welcomed all her life. She felt so happy. She could've died in the street while trying to survive with her babies still in her womb but the old woman had pitied her and housed her with her kids. * When she gave birth, she had thought the woman will let her go but the old woman didn't, she only brought them closer to herself and took them as her family. So she hid herself save in the woman's cottage house. The location of the house even favoured her, as it was hidden in the woods. •Flashback ends• Now, thinking of the old woman, Ama, Ava was missing her badly, she knew that she won't be that down if Ama was still alive. Ava was sure that Ama died while trying to save her kids. "Thank you Ava. I'm really grateful." She appreciated in her mind. "Let's think of how to get back out pups." Mari started. "I'm thinking of asking for help." "Who can we meet? All hope seems lost." "I know one person I can meet up with. I'm not sure he will help but trying him out is better than nothing." "Who could that person be??" Mari marvelled. "Sam. Alpha Sam." "What?? That son of a b***h??" "Yes." "You cannot go to him, he can't help!" "Sorry Mari, but not even you can stop me. If he doesn't help me, then I will be grateful I told him." Ava declared determined.
