If there was anything more than confusion, that would be the word used for Melissa's case.Probably the Moon goddess’ doing, or maybe a curse for not being able to remember what had transpired that night.A night that stand that was supposed to end up like it never happened, came like a triple hurricane filled with nails and broken glass.Three kids was one thing, but three men claiming the kids belong to each of them, individually, was a curse…or that's what she thought.Trapped in the webs of lies, hate, love and deceit, Melissa tries to handle being a mother of three and a mate to three as well, all with bad history with each other, close to hate but far deeper than that. She would face challenges and hardships to get them to get along, as friends and not enemy, as well as facing the wars to come as a result of her being mated to three at once.

Ghost CEO
Melissa's POV The three grey sofas sat in the living room facing the massive television I had bought at a cheap rate since the seller was offering wholesale deals on home furniture. The black blinds and the white, spotless rug that covered the floor in the sitting room complemented each other perfectly. Beside it was a curtain that led to the kitchen and dining area, all designed in a white, black, and grey color scheme. I had made sure to order food that the housekeeper kept in the fridge. I even had her bring a cat I found sleeping in the washbasin. I left the kitchen and walked into a hall that led to the bedrooms. There were three bedrooms and a storeroom. At the center of the hall was an opening in the ceiling. I dropped my bags on the ground and reached out to the rope that hung from the door covering the opening. I pulled it and moved back hastily when a ladder rolled out. I was stunned but also curious. I climbed up the ladder and discovered it was an extra floor that seemed to double as a roof, with a canopy-like structure above it, which I assumed would protect me from the rain. There was a hammock and an old swivel chair, as well as books scattered on a desk. At that moment, I decided the house was far better than I had initially thought. I settled in faster than I had expected, changed into a comfortable shirt and shorts, and sat at the kitchen counter to work. I was preparing a sample of graphic designs for my application to a company that I thought paid well. It didn’t even take an hour to finish. I submitted it and closed my laptop before turning my attention to the meal I was preparing—rice and chicken sauce with some bits of chicken I had chopped carelessly and dumped into the sauce. I dished out the food and turned on my phone to set up a movie to watch. However, my wolf, Gina, decided to wake up today. 'You made a terrible mistake last night, young lady.' "Thank you for reminding me, all-knowing one," I answered, spooning some rice into my mouth. I moaned with pleasure as the soft, chewy rice and flavorful sauce touched my tongue. 'Like how you sounded when you were busy indulging in a one-night stand. How do you feel, Melissa?' "I feel the same, to be honest." I paused to take a sip of water. "I don’t know who he is, and even if I did, I don’t know what he looks like. So, I’m great." 'You are going to get pregnant, Melissa. Is that great?' Now that she mentioned it, I realized what might have happened, but maybe he used protection. So I was fine. 'You are not.' "Why can’t you just have a positive mind, Gina? Always seeing the bad side of everything. He must have used protection, so I’m good." 'Triplets.' "What did you say?" I froze with my spoon mid-air. I heard her right, but I didn’t want to believe it. She could be wrong, and I wouldn’t even believe her because it only happened once, and there’s a chance that he used protection. 'Two boys and a girl.' I choked on my saliva this time, coughing violently until I drank a little water. My eyes were watery, but I was too shocked to notice. "It only happened last night. How can you tell?!" I yelled this time, not caring about the neighbors or whoever might pass by. If someone actually saw me, they would think I was insane because I was yelling at the voice in my head, which was also me but another version—or probably another person. "Who cares? What I wanted to know was how it would be possible for me to get pregnant and with triplets." 'Do you doubt me? I know more than you do, Melissa, and I am wiser. So you either believe me and start preparing yourself for your children or wait until the burden is too much.' "It’s all too sudden," I muttered, staring down at my extremely flat belly that had no sign of pregnancy or even fat. "Why three? It’s just once, and it’s my first time." 'The moon goddess has her reasons. You might actually get to love them.' "Of course I will. They will act as the man that actually touched me. Then I will feel complete. My own family." I was suddenly excited about the arrival of my kids. What if they had red hair or red eyes, blue eyes, or even white? I had to prepare things for them, but first, I needed a job. Luckily for me, my phone beeped, and when I picked it up, I almost screamed. I got accepted! The pay was perfect for my case, and it was stated I could come for an interview immediately. I was ready, so what was stopping me? Nothing. I dashed into my bedroom, changed into a black dress that hugged my figure, wore black sandal heels, and picked a bag I thought matched the dress. I combed and brushed my hair, applied a little lip gloss, and left with my phone in hand. I locked the door to my home, called a cab that was minutes away, and once I saw it, I got in, paid the driver in advance, and waited patiently while staring at the view of the city and the people passing by. I was somehow displeased with the way most girls dressed, leaving little to the imagination. Many wore skirts that barely covered their backsides, while others wore shorts that looked like underwear with crop tops that exposed their bras. What annoyed me the most was how they walked in groups. Those dressed decently rarely walked in groups—maybe in pairs or alone—and it reminded me of myself when I was at the pack. I was ignored and forgotten because my parents were dead, and I had no one to take care of me but myself. I heaved a sigh, turned my head to the other side, and realized we were on a bridge. I stuck my head out a bit and was mesmerized by the length of the massive structure. There were lamp posts everywhere, mostly ten feet apart, and railings with lights that extended to the top. I took out my phone and snapped a photograph of the bridge. I asked the driver for the name and wrote it down, making a mental note to use this bridge as my thinking spot if the house got too noisy—because I know kids are. Unfortunately, the ride ended. I paid the driver once again as a tip and hurried into the office. I received stares and heard murmurs from the ladies. They weren’t negative but instead positive and jealous remarks. "Is that the boss’s girlfriend?" "She is so pretty!" "Her blue eyes are beautiful." "Maybe she is the boss." "The boss is a man, and he wouldn’t show up now. He’s been away for years." Okay, odd. Why would their boss be away for so long? Who, then, asked me to come for an interview? Who will I be working for? Does their boss even exist? ……… "Good morning," I said as I approached the reception desk. I had a smile on my face, hiding the fact that I was confused and curious at the same time. The receptionist raised her head and popped the bubble gum in her mouth. I wanted to know how she did that, but I didn’t want to risk being discovered because, from what I’d heard, humans are incredibly curious creatures. "Morning, Miss Davidson," she said, staring at me over her glasses. When I nodded, she handed over a file and a card that I reluctantly took. "You got the job. Head to the first floor and drop this in the boss's office. He will be arriving shortly, so please be on good behavior," she added before turning back to her work, leaving me in disbelief. I slowly left the desk, a thousand thoughts running through my head. I walked into the elevator and pressed the button with the highest number, assuming it led to the top. When I arrived, I walked into a massive office that looked far too big to even be considered an office. I dropped the files on the desk and stepped back to assess the space, only to crash into a hard, broad chest. I slowly turned around and was met with cold, almost dead silver eyes. His white hair, styled in wolf cuts and held in a ponytail, was still long despite being tied back. He didn’t look a day over twenty, but his dark skin suited him perfectly, giving him an aura of strength and refinement. However, this man was wearing a ghost mask over his face. His well-tailored black suit fit him perfectly, showing off his defined muscles under the white shirt with its top buttons undone. "Good morning, Sir," I greeted, only to be ignored. He walked past me as though I wasn’t there and sat down in his swivel chair. He raised his head to look at me, and for a moment, I felt a strange familiarity, but it vanished as quickly as it came. He frowned, squinted, then shook his head before leaning back into his seat. "Get me a cup of coffee and book my flight before six."
