(Aurora’s POV)
Mr. Skylar turned to one of the maids with a firm, but polite, instruction.
"Please take Aurora to her room and kindly ensure she is comfortable" He said, his voice carrying an air of finality.
The maid, a quiet woman with a composed expression, nodded and stepped forward, her gaze briefly meeting mine.
"This way, Miss Aurora" She said gently, her voice almost soothing against the tension that had settled heavily around the room.
My mother, still with that soft smile, placed a hand on my arm before she gave a small, reassuring nod. My father, though his face was a bit strained, gave me a final encouraging smile.
“Don’t worry, Aurora,” My mother whispered.
“We’ll be here tomorrow. Just take it one step at a time”.
